= She is a LAW graduate from UP and I am a bit impressed though she is not a very engaging English speaker unlike Mandaluyong City who is a host/emcee. I like how she chose Earth as her element. View the video and listen to her explanations. I also applauded her no to death penalty. Her explanations is also very solid. :=p :=p =D> =D>

My Top Picks for MISS PHILIPPINES-EARTH 2020:

Miss Philippines-Earth: BAGUIO CITY
Miss Philippines-Air: LAPU-LAPU CITY
Miss Philippines-Water: MANDALUYONG CITY
Miss Philippines-Fire: ATIMONAN, QUEZON
Miss Philippines-Eco-tourism: DARAGA, ALBAY

I'm torn between Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio City and Phoebe Godinez of Lapu-Lapu City. One of them would make an excellent representative to the Miss Earth 2020 pageant.

Eco Activity Day 20

"UP Diliman has created a design for sanitation tents and gave LGUs a cheaper alternative for disinfectant solutions. I volunteered to be the onsite chemist in Brgy. Pineda here in Pasig City, to educate and inform the local government about the solution preparations and effectiveness of this disinfectant. It was an honor to be able to serve and help out during this time of crisis in my line of work as a chemist.

I am so proud that Brgy. Pineda is taking the necessary procedures to stop the spread of the virus while taking care of its residents. Thank you to the frontliners who are manning the disinfecting stations at the entrance of the barangay who are working day and night for the safety of the people!

I want to also show my gratitude to the scientists of SaniTents for doing the research for this alternative disinfectant and giving out this information for free. I hope this makes everyone realize the importance of our Filipino scientists during times like these."

Eco Activity Day 15

"Showing my gratitude to all the brave heroes on the front lines as my birthday celebration.

It was my birthday yesterday and It was worth spending to share and show a little act to our true heroes because I’m so thankful to live another year knowing that me and my family are safe because of the efforts and sacrifices of the people who are out there keeping us safe. I may not celebrate my birthday with my friends and my whole family this year but after seeing their smiles yesterday made it so fulfilling. As a token of my appreciation, I made an improvise faceshields for protections, cooked for their lunch, inserted a letter to uplift their spirits and repacked foods to those who need it more like the garbage man because they also deserves to be recognized by their efforts of getting our trash weekly.

The frontliners are the light of our country. Let us show our appreciation to all front liners for their service and dedication and to everyone that cares by praying for their safety and help them by cooperating and doing our part to battle against the disease by staying at home."

Eco Activity Day 4

"--HOME SERIES--

| Unplug Unused Electronics |

Let’s continue saving the Earth and money by reducing that electricity bill! Another secret agent to higher bills are ‘phantom’ or ‘vampire’ electricity. All things plugged in will bleed some energy. Even turned off, many appliances keep drawing power. Same goes for all those chargers — whether or not a device is charging! That means the charger continues to use power even if your cell phone/portable vacuum/toothbrush/wireless drill isn't attached, let alone charging. Power supplies don't just convert energy; they consume it.

Eco Activity Day 33

"A few days ago, a couple of friends and I doubled our duties during our last grocery run to also get ingredients for making meals for our frontliners at the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong, in cooperation with Protect the Frontline.

Currently, the National Center for Mental Health is facing more than 20 positive cases for the COVID-19, already encountering fatalities as well. They also have hundreds of PUIs, but not enough PPEs, therefore, leaving the medical staff with makeshift masks and protective gear.

And besides distress over the current pandemic, the National Center for Mental Health is also facing an increase in mental illnesses due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Every small act of kindness helps, and as a proud Mandaleño, I also advocate for taking care of oneself both physically and mentally. Now is that time to truly band together, especially with the worldwide uncertainty. If you don't have the means to donate, the best thing you can do is to take care of yourself - treat your body and your mind with love and positivity."

Eco Activity Day 17

"Wherever life puts us despite the COVID19 crisis, we can use the time to sow, trim, weed the negativity and water down a new potential for it to bloom with grace.

Now that we have a lot of time in our hands
during this lockdown;

Instead of usually entrusting the odd job of putting-off my greenery in an urban residency during my regular hectic city schedule.

Maintaining the backyard through cutting the bushes and tidying it up by myself could be a great avocation to move my lazybones away, be exercised and boost my mental & physical well-being.

A motion as small as it may seem, but could add up significantly to a cleaner and greener revolution in combating pollution if everyone would take part.

Instead of curling in our beds and planting our face on our phone screens 24/7;
Each of us however simple could rather choose to be proactive, be responsible, improve a skill,
discover and or enhance a talent or hobby that can environmentally contribute to society while at home in our own special individual way.

How about you?
What can you do for the earth today?

Eco Activity Day 17

"A glimpse of the vast ricefield of my hometown - Allacapan

In the midst of the pandemic CoVid-19, we can not afford for another food crisis. While the frontliners are being exposed to dangers in protecting us, let us also appreciate and give credits to the farmers who also take the risks in order to provide one of the basic needs of the community. Farmers' work have been very important. Their courage and bravery of going to the field to harvest crops despite the threat of the Corona virus is truly commendable. Thanks to them for ensuring stable food supply for the community.

To our farmers, please do not forget the following:

• Practice social distancing.
• Wear your personal protective equipment all the time.
• Follow orders from our Local Government and other frontliners.
• Always keep yourself healthy. Never forget to wash and sanitize your hands, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep and rest.
• Release stress. Always remind yourself to laugh. Do what makes you happy and most importantly, pray.

All of us need extra strength these days and always remember that we are in this together."

– Diana Rose Hidalgo | Allacapan Cagayan
