It might be disgusting for others because it's not part of their culture. Cultures differ from each other and each one must be respected. Circumcision is part of Filipino culture for several reasons, religion, tradition, and most especially hygiene. Based on tradition in the Philipines someone not circumcised is not man enough. Nurses don't circumcise boys in many countries of the world and even if they do in the Philippines, that's not a reason to show it on Facebook. The photos are VERY disturbing and when we know what's going to be done, yeah, disgusting. I think it's the first time that I see a contestant of a male beauty pageant showing this. Yet, I don't think this guy is the first nurse to take part at an international beauty pageant. If circumcision is that normal, we would have already seen this kind of photographs but we had not seen it yet.

Moreover, it is with arguments like "culture must not be questioned" that we do not move forward. If culture is not to be questioned, then we should let women get their clitoris cut, as is the case in African or Asian countries. After all, it's their religion, tradition and culture. :)>-

And since when can tradition morally justify an act? @-) @-) @-)

PS: It's not against the Philippines, it is necessary to recall it on this forum, I would have had exactly the same reaction if it was Man of the World Cameroon, for example.

One of my friend's parents circumcised him when he was new born baby.
Now, he and his gf broke up because he had to do rough sex, and he couldn't feel much, his gf wanted broke up with him because she couldn't take it anymore.

He blamed his parents but he couldn't blame them much because he knows his parents didn't know circumcision's bad effects.

I don't think circumcision has benefit.
And circumcision does not prevent STD.

Just wash before having sex and wash everyday then there is no issue.

Glans need protection by foreskin.
Cut cock's visible scar and dry ass glans look so ugly btw

There is a research that so many rapist in the US has cut cock.
(I'm not generalizing whole people who has cut cock)

If my partner's cock is uncut but beautiful, I would willing to wash his cock by my hands.

Sorry to disagree with this argument of yours. There is a big difference between cutting woman's clitoris in some African nations and circumcision in the concept of Philippine culture. In some nations who do that clitoris thing, they do it against the will of the woman (by force) and it's usually fatal, but in the Philippines (yes, I'm talking about the concept of circumcision in the Philippines alone not in other countries) there is no force as to whether or not you want to be circumcised (except of course for babies who can't decide yet for themselves). It is part of the culture that before a man reaches the puberty stage he must be circumcised to avoid being ridiculed by other men or be teased not to be man enough to face the blood of adulthood tradition. In other words, it is a "physical" sign of courage and manhood in the Philippines rather than because of religious belief. I'll stop here, I just can't help commenting when you raised that "clitoris thing" because it's quite different. :)>- :)>- [/b]

It's not different in the sense that, in both cases, it is part of their culture. Why, in that case, we would not have the right to cut girls and in the case of Filipino boys, we would have the right? In those African and Asian societies which do that (there are Asian countries which practice it too), women who are not cut are also frowned upon by other women. Sorry but you're just a hypocrite and play the outraged only when it suits you. :)>-

I'm not a hypocrite, sad to say. If you think you win the argument go and claim your prize, who cares? My only point is if you think that the culture of circumcision is disgusting then don't think that everybody thinks the same as what you think. No country is perfect and no culture is perfect not even your French culture. If you find me hypocrite I find you an IDIOT who doesn't know how cultures differ. I AM CIRCUMCISED AND IT IS NOT A RELIGIOUS THING. IT IS MORE OF A HYGIENE AND CULTURAL PRACTICE IN THE PHILIPPINES. WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, ME AND MY CHILDHOOD FRIENDS, HAD TO STAY IN THE WATERS (RIVER) FOR HOURS SO THAT WE WOULD NOT FEEL ANYTHING WHEN OUR PENISES WERE CUT. WE DID NOT LOSS ANY SKIN, THE FORESKIN WAS JUST CUT AT THE TOP AND BANDAGED IN THE BOTTOM. WE ONLY USED USED CLOTHING FOR OUR BANDAGE, WE HAD TO BOIL GUAVA LEAVES TO CLEAN OUR PENIS EVERYDAY.

BEING CUT DID NOT CHANGE MY ENJOYMENT DURING SEX. I EVEN FEEL TRIUMPHANT AND CLEANER. WHEN I WAS NOT CIRCUMCISED, MY PENIS SMELT BAD DUE TO SOME LIQUID OR URINE NOT PROPERLY CLEANED. I AM HAPPY AND GLAD THAT I AM CUT.

Not true, Cut is not 100% perfect clean. If he is cut, does his cut penis still stay good smell without washing forever? It can't be! Both Uncut or Cut is still bad odor a day when he skips taking a bath or skip washing penis before change the brief. We know why we wash our penis anytime? we need to clean away bacterias. We can't see million bacterias they can still enter us or enter into pussy or penis. Just wash and clean it every day. [-X [-X

From Wikipedia
The prevalence of circumcision is the percentage of males in a given population who have been circumcised. The rates vary widely by country, from 1% in Japan, to 2% in Spain and Sweden, to 58% in the United States, to more than 80% in Muslim-majority countries. Worldwide it is estimated that 25% to 33% of males are circumcised, by various sources.

It is not the current rate of newborn males who undergo neonatal circumcision, which may influence future prevalence. In 2007, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that globally, the vast majority of men who are circumcised are Muslims. They estimated 33% of adult males worldwide (aged 15+) are circumcised, with almost 70% of those being Muslims.

Male circumcision is nearly universal in the Muslim world and in Israel due to the religious beliefs of the majority of Muslims and Jews; however, some non-Muslim groups living within Muslim-majority countries, such as Armenians and Assyrians, do not practice it. It is prevalent in some Muslim-majority countries in southeast Asia such as Indonesia and Malaysia; however, the WHO states that there is "little non-religious circumcision in Asia, with the exceptions of the Republic of Korea and the Philippines". In parts of Africa it is often practiced as part of tribal or religious customs. The prevalence of circumcision is also high in the United States, although there has reportedly been a decrease in routine neonatal circumcision in recent years

Fact is:
Jesus Christ was cut as He is a Jew. And so were the evangelists after Christ, they were all Jews. It was St. Paul, evangelizing in Anatoly, Turkey who did not impose circumcision as part of the Christian evangelization. The Islamic faith originating in the 7th century started practicing circumcision.

In short, do you know of a Jew or a Moslem who is not circumcised?
