I also hear a rumor about Vietnam hosting Miss Earth in 2022. Hope it’s true. Vietnam’s covid cases are soaring now but i believe it will be back to normal in 2022.

Yes better move 2021 to 2022 in Vietnam

Wait and see. If I am part of the org, I will wait and see what will happen. Since they are not announcing, I think they really want a live pageant.

They might also be watching the progress of other orgs. So much drama not only in Miss Earth but also with Miss Universe and MI. Dont know about MW yet.

Yes but for me it is better if it is a live pageant.

And for Miss France, there are lots of beautiful delegates this year besides her.

If you don’t mind me asking….did this statement come directly from the org?

Poland has done well at Miss Earth under the current org. My concern is that if the org decides not to participate, someone else might take over and that would be a shame. It happened to several orgs last year.

This what a friend mentioned to me if Carousel will still push for another virtual pageant some NDs will not join. It is too much for them to pay without getting something in return. It is like paying for goods and services without receiving goods and services at all.

Also some crowned queens are already in talks with their NDs expressing their non participation if it is really virtual.

I won’t go as far as saying that they won’t get anything in return. Cash prizes are still won. Then there’s the online exposure for the girls and the orgs. Queen Lindsey has become one of the most famous Earth Queens and the MEUSA org has been enjoying a banner year and that’s thanks largely to last year’s virtual edition.

Plus we have to remember that the MEO has overhead expenses throughout the year. So understandably, they need to continue generating an income. The NDs are business people so I’m sure they understand this principle.

However, I will respect the decision of those who choose not to participate. It’s their call. Only thing though is that they’re setting themselves up to be replaced if other competitors step in. And they might regret that decision when Miss Earth returns to live pageants.

And for the ladies who choose not to participate, I hope their orgs let them to join in 2022 when we expect a return to the live pageant. But if their orgs choose to hold national pageants next year, they might lose the opportunity to compete. But that’s the risk they have to take.

The one I highlighted in red is debatable. Unless it's the girl who paid for the franchise herself and pays all his trip and expenses to join the pageant by herself then that statement is untrue. If the ND is paying all of them, the return of the goods or investment is already received through the sponsorship and income from the mounting of the national pageant to select a ME rep. So in effect, if they hold the National pageant and do not send a rep to ME, then they get all the money to themselves without sharing their dues to the franchise owner. That is how franchising works. That's is actually a betrayal to the business-owner-franchisee relationship and can be considered fraud.

If the girl refuses to join, it is her prerogative but the organization has to send a replacement or run the risks of losing the franchise. That's the reason I guess France still send a replacement to the pageant since the main winner is not keen on joining a virtual one.

Like a peacock, the #MissEarth pageant undertakes re-growth and rejuvenation, a timely condition with the current pandemic. A peacock represents beauty with its colorful tail - perfect for this year’s “Colors of the Earth” theme. #MissEarth2021

But because of a virtual pageant, we have the best Miss Earth Queen ever and first Miss Earth Queen to win Missosology's Timeless Beauty. But I agree, that one time virtual pageant is okay. Enough for now coz Miss Earth has already made history. :-* :-* :=p :=p =D> =D>

Miss Earth is being overly cautious. Sports leagues are allowing full stadiums of fans now all over the world. They can do it. They simply have to implement some rules. Miss Supranational just held a pageant and they took the necessary precautions: testing on day one, quarantine for one day, etc.

Even national pageants like BP and Miss World Philippines can hold live pageants. Why can’t MEO (supposed to be a bigger, richer and more professional org than the other two)? I do hope Marisa wins a B2B for the USA in a live pageant.

Bb Pilipinas had to postpone several times before they were able to hold a pageant last May. Miss World Philippines is postponed several times too. This is because of WTF rules and regulations imposed by our government. Good thing that the candidates are only residing in the Philippines. It will be difficult for Miss Earth if all the international delegates are already ready to come to the Philippines at a certain date then all of a sudden, our government declares another lockdown and/or travel ban?

The way our government handling the covid is wtf. We have the longest lockdown in the entire planet and we have several acronyms for these lockdowns, GCQ, ECQ, MECQ, etc etc. but the situation instead of improving is deteriorating. =O/ =O/

So far these countries are on the red list (ban from entering Philippines except Filipinos are on the government-initiated or non-government repatriation programs and special commercial flights allowed under existing IATF resolutions:
Azerbaijan, Guadeloupe, Guam, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Saint Lucia, Switzerland

Carousel cannot afford to cancel the 2021 edition. They need money. Last year ME failed to attract reputable products to sponsor the pageant. They even allow Lindsey to travel even when travelling is still not safe because she can bring money straight to their bank account. I agree that virtual pageant is stupid and some kind of a joke really. Plus it is really unfair to small organizations. Carousel's reason for holding a virtual pageant is for the safety of the girls. Travelling is not safe but with Lindsey travelling to Belgium, Guatemala and soon Greece, maybe Carousel will stage ME live this year.

FIFA Qualifying Cup was held in Clark. The organizers never had any issues with the Philippine immigration. They worked with IATF to allow the event to happened in Clark. Non of the ballers (both Filipinos and foreigners) contracted covid. Why can't Carousel negotiate with IATF?

I think your analysis and comparison are a bit flawed. The international travel of Lindsey with her elemental Queen can be easily managed. . Whereas if you have more than 80 delegates plus the workers is another story.
