Baguio City’s best practice on URBAN GARDENING CONTEST now on it’s 4th year.
“During the pandemic period, the contest was supposed to be cancelled (and the budget alloted by way of the ordinance that was authored to make it a permanent activity of the City) will be used to purchase more seeds and be distributed to city residents. It's good, it was pursued as it became an instant hit with more participants joining the competition. Kudos to the City Veterinary Office, Agricultural Services Division.
Today, on the occasion of the City Hall flag raising ceremony, the winners for the 2020 edition will be announced. But this time, the winners will be coming on more resilient than ever as they had to go through the enhanced community quarantine due to the COVID19 pandemic. They will be known as the survival garden winners having gone through an extraordinary circumstance. To all the winners, congratulations in advance. To those who participated but who will not get any prize, congratulations, too. You are still winners having successfully done your part in providing food for your household and for a thousand reasons. Let us plant, plant, plant for life!
Onward Baguio. Together, we heal as one!”
