Loved the dramatic national costumes from Brazil, Guatemala, Panama, and Venezuela!

USA was simply divine in that white Statue of Liberty costume. That was a pleasant surprise as I’m used to seeing the costume in green.

I know Europe isn’t known for extravagant national costumes but I wish the women took advantage of the virtual nature of the pageant to showcase themselves with more flourish. After all, Europe has a very rich history from which to take inspiration from.

I rarely rally behind a Miss PH in Miss Earth and like I said before, I am critical over a Miss Philippines and I have to say Roxanne is my favorite MPE since Sandra Seifert. Of course, I want her to win (you would see from my recent posts in this thread) but I am simply a bit bothered by the 3 wins of Philippines in the last 7 years. I know it’s not even relevant in her competition, but let’s see. Besides, Lindsey would be a great winner. She knows by heart, what she is doing for the environment: that’s authentic and genuine.

Aw thank you so much. I really had fun listening to all of their questions and answers. This is actually the most hands on I have ever been since the virtual pageant started.

How's the experience? i hope you guys didn't asked the candidates too much environmental questions. they received a lot of that from the previous weeks. Gosh, I don't see myself do what you did. I prefer to be at the back row. Malayo pa mararating mo. Keep it up!

Its kinda interesting so I volunteered to try. I also handle the online meetings for our company but the cameras are usually off.

Actually most of the questions were environmental. Even my first question directed to Canada was kinda related to her advocacy.
"Based on your eco-video, you are a nurse by profession and I would like to thank you for your service during the Covid-19 pandemic. I also think you raised an important issue which is the proper disposal of single use masks because it is also a prevailing issue here in the Philippines. My question is what environmental lesson can we learn from the Covid-19 pandemic?"

My second and last question was more of a simpler one which was kindly answered by Canada and Kenya.
"I would like to ask a simple question. Any delegate is welcome to answer and share their experience. This is just to lighten things up. I am curious, from a delegate’s perspective, which requires a more rigorous preparation, the live pageant or the virtual pageant?"

This is my first virtual press meeting and I would appreciate any suggestions for the questions. I kinda realized late that I should have asked a lighter question since they are probably too tired of answering environmental ones. Also, I miss the live pageant where we can interact with other press and make chika during dinner

Finally saw your face CamAngel123. You also look like an Angel...so pwede ka na ring magiging EcoAngel representing Misso Earthlings. Wala lang sinasabi ko lang na maganda ka.

About the press conference, how I wished this was done earlier before the pre-pageant is over so that Carousel can watch and score these ladies in this conference. I am so impressed with Denmark in this batch. If she gets to the top 20 she might climb all the way to the top 4 and might snatch one of the titles from our favorites. Colombia also surprises me. I thought pa relax relax na lang sila ang competitive pa rin nila grabe.

But I am guessing that they had the press meeting towards the end because they are already post-processing the videos submitted by the delegates for the coronation night just like in MPE.

I am on the lookout if some of the delegates will suddenly post evening gown and swimsuit because during MPE, what I noticed is that the girls who uploaded their evening gown and swimsuit on their social media without an announced activity are the ones who entered the top 10 (Misses General Santos and South Cotabato among others). I think they are shooting it live but the HD videos will be sent after the competition for editing. This is just a guess hahaha

Are you ready for the the Miss Earth coronation night? It’s only one week away from now!Realization is kicking in, so time to bring up the teaser!

What a journey it has been! Miss Earth organization had the courage to push through. Us Eco angels didn’t let the pandemic stop us from raising awareness around environmental issues. We provided wakeupcalls, eye openers and a friend in times of darkness. And we will continu doing so.

In one week a new Miss Earth will be crowned to continue the legacy. I’m already eternal grateful for this once in a life time experience, bringing proud to my country. Let’s see how the stars will align.
