Africa ended up as 2nd runner up twice in a row. Miss International is not yet ready to crown a black winner. Please train this girl's catwalk and send her to Miss Universe.
I think Philippines was deliberately left out of the top 5 because of the continental placements (plus the fact that they possibly did not understand her speech because the translator messed it up). I am not gonna wonder if she is at the bottom of the top 8 along with Indonesia.
the TRANSLATOR just summarized INDONESIA and PHILIPPINES' speeches. She did not translate everything.
Oh so there is indeed shortcomings from the translator.

Anyway, just watched some clips quickly this morning and OMG the people who kept shouting “Felepens” were so irritating. They ruined the show. Next time, MIO should kick them out
Quick trivia: The ones shouting "Philippines" so much to distract the judges have outed themselves by shouting collectively whenever a "particular" candidate comes out. Clearly, what they were doing was to sabotage Patch. The Filipino audience saw this happen in Tokyo Dome City Hall. Guess what country do these people come from.
Indonesia???
Kenji can answer this.
Was that you Kenji or someone else?![]()

Here is Patch’s full speech:
Konnichiwa, mina san (good day, everyone).
When I was younger, I found it strange that I was subjected to different standards as other BOYS my age.
When I got older, and even more so when I became a lawyer, I began to question these standards and challenge them.
Why should women live in fear of harassment, violence, and discrimination when basic human decency calls for respect, tolerance, and compassion.
To cheer all women means to support all women, regardless of the race, religion, or background.
But not only this; it also means to remove the barriers that prevent women from realizing their full potential.
Miss International does this by fostering a global culture of women empowerment and gender quality.
And through this platform, we can ensure that no women, anytime, anywhere is left behind.
Domo arigato gozaimasu (thank you very much).
