BORACAY OPENING ANG MAIN REASON BAKIT SA PINAS GAGAWIN ANG MISS EARTH. TODO PROMOTE SA MGA DELEGATES. NAKAKAHIYA NA WALANG BORACAY PAASA TO D MAX. DI PALA SILA SURE NA IPAPAGAMIT ANG ISLA NA ITO. HAHAHA KATAWATAWA ANG PINAS! ANG ACTIVITIES HALOS SAME LOCATIONS WALA NA BANG BAGO BAGO CAROUSEL? MUKANG TIPID NA TIPID SA BUDGET HA. Carousel Mansion nanaman ang venue ng opening ceremony ang cheap malamok tapos magbibigay kayo ng off limits n lotion para sa lamok. ordinaryong bahay lng ang mansion n yan sa ibang bansa why can you just use a convention room para mas formal tignan ang opening ceremony. ANYWAYS BUTI NALANG MAGANDA ADVOCACY NYO.

Dami nyong reklamo, tse!

Carousel Mansion actually is a good place for a welcome party. First of all it is a private event di kailangang dayuhin nga mga tao. Second, it is held in the owner's mansion so that means treating the ladies as part of the family. Miss Earth is a family and who do not want to be invited in a family gathering? If at all, that makes Miss Earth unique---part of the family of the owner and not just mere contestants.

As I said the hate only comes from the third world mentality. Especially to the crabs. Its made in the Philippines so its must be cheap, even if it ain't. If Miss U crowns the ugliest girl, ór hold the pageant in the same place over and over again with practically no pre-pageant activities they will still growl in acclamation (Nevada in mind).

For the Filipinos, you have to grow. Be educated, at least.

Exactly! The double standards...

Miss International candidates are practically just arranging flowers "ikebana" they call it as pre-pageant activities and the fans are all gaga because guess what...it's JAPAN it's first world.

Miss Supranational candidates all they did last year was visit some isolated ski town in the mountains and dipped in hot springs..and voila pre-pageant activities.

Miss Gwand International last year had candidates visit a cave and had a whole day of pictorial and these mindless fans are all praise.

But when Miss Earth candidates had to visit 30 locations of various municipalities..Filipino critics are the first ones to say that the activities are CHEAP. So they find their hometowns, their country, and their very existence CHEAP!

As you can see Miss Earth has one of the most hectic pre pageant activities all geared towards the cause

I was one of the lucky few who got to interact with the girls behind the scenes and Yes the girls are all too tired and some of them are getting sick. BUT they are consistent in saying that their Miss Earth experience is a memorable one.

You can now try all to beat that! And that is why Miss Earth is part of the BIG LEAGUE and some are just MINOR and will remain that. #Supranational #MGI EEEW!

Ako talaga ang nagagandahan sa mga activities ng Miss Earth because it's all jam packed and they get to see different places all over the country. It's not only concentrated to the Luzon island but in Mindanao too. It's all transparent about what these women will get to experience and for sure they won't forget this experience of a lifetime because, they did this for a reason to Mother Earth. For the organizers and sponsors, just continue spreading the advocacy of your philosophy year after year so that our Mother Earth will serve it's purpose to all people of the world.

I’ve noticed that there are four days at the end where no activities are planned. So I have a feeling that Carousel kept those days open in case the plan for Boracay pushes through. Since they have the figure and form judging saved for last (which wasn’t the case last year), I wonder if they meant to hold it in the island in the event the government keeps its promise. ;;?

Also noticed that there is no press presentation in the schedule. This is one important event that will not be absent every year so I guess that will be held in Boracay. Carousel is just waiting for official date from the government when to conduct this activity. I believe that will be held after all the preliminary judging or towards the end of the pageant just like last year.

Should the itinerary push through, the excursion to Boracay shall be "icing in the cake" and a lifetime experience for ME girls. And saving the "best for last" is a win-win strategy where ME stakeholders are concerned. Holding in abeyance any premature announcement on this matter is a better option than suffer through embarrassment and condemnation in the event of a cancellation in the interim. Go Ms Earth!!!

Whether there is Boracay or not in the itineraries, it's still so much okey because the girls will have the chance and get to see other locations especially with some other islands of the Phiippines which is comprised of 7,100. What else can you see in Boracay where other places doesn't have. If you missed the white fine sands, there's hundred thousands of them in the world where you find them like the Waikiki beach in Hawaii, Cancun or the Maldives which is so similar and identical to Boracay. The Philippines is comprised of 7100 islands and only 3000 of them are inhabited but the rest is yet to be discovered so whether there is Boracay or not with Miss Earth, there's nothing to miss. As long as the beauty of each candidates are featured, it's more than a million worth of Boracay.

On the other hand, this is a beauty pageant intended for different women all over the world and not for Philippine tourism. For you to feature Boracay, leave it to the Department of Tourism to promote the island because they have the budget, contingency and auxiliary in part to do this job. But for the girls, let them enjoy and savor the moment where they can showcase and demonstrate their glamour and glitz while they bring in with them their own advocacies in connection with the environment in the competition. But please don't feature sad stories about themselves or about their countries that they belong or came from. However, beauty pageant should be only for glitz and glamour. We have so much in the world already where we bring focus about social problems and don't let me mention those anymore like drugs, war, abortion, pollution, crimes, homelessness etc. Instead, leave it to their own local or national government where they would have to fix the problems of their community and society. Besides, the beauty pageant organizers are private entities and are not publicly governed so they will have to work out with their own means and budget. And with Miss Earth, Miss Universe or Miss World to name a few they are out of that scope already to solve each and every issues of the world. They can only help out that much but their share is just to promote glamour and glitz in the world, the other side of spectrum of life for all of us here on earth.

The remaining 4 days before the coronation are reserved for rehearsals and Halloween night. The Fire group doesn't have the Eco Tour in their itinerary yet and they finished the challenge events ahead of time versus the other 2 groups. So fingers crossed if this group will go to Boracay or other places for the Eco Tour?

Geeyourhair wrote:Also noticed that there is no press presentation in the schedule. This is one important event that will not be absent every year so I guess that will be held in Boracay. Carousel is just waiting for official date from the government when to conduct this activity. I believe that will be held after all the preliminary judging or towards the end of the pageant just like last year.

Press Presentation is called Press Conference. They just changed the name but the format still there.

That's what I"m saying to feature other locations or spot of the Philippines. Boracay is a household name throughout the world and everybody knows already what to expect in that island like the beaches, pure white sand, tourists from around the world, food, crystal clear water etc. Bring the candidates to other places where they will feel more excited about the culture, food, people, structures, history etc of the other islands. For me, I don't want to go anymore to Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Phuket, Maldives, Jamaica, Bahamas, Hawaii etc because they have all the same stuff to see and do. If they send me there with free plane tickets and accommodations, I will consider but to go and spend with my own pocket, I will think twice. I would rather go to Costa Rica for the nature/environmental friendly place, Spain for the history, people or sturctures and even Sweden, Norway or Scandanavian countries for the aurora borealis. Likewise, it was so historic that Miss Earth went to Austria one time because there were so many places to discover in that country and at the same time it was a learning curve for the candidates and the audience worldwide knowing alot of things about Austria and it's people.

So yung sa miss earth phil prepageant na pinapunta ang mga kandidata sa mga second rate sponsors na halos pagoda harrison na lahat to promote those second class products and services

If you believe that those sponsors were offering second rated products and services, eh di ikaw ang kumuha ng mga sponsors na you believe is bigatin para hindi magmokmok ang butsi mo. Since spectator ka lang, huwag kang mag condemn sa isang organizations that would try their best to showcase what is world class and that they won't be ashamed to introduce their advocacies to the whole world. Dito nga sa US, yung state pageant nga nila for a winner to be sent to Miss USA and Miss America, their prepageant activities and finals night sa maliliit lang na venue that can just hold several people pero nakakaraos din sila especially sa international competition, they would end up as winner. Hindi pa nga na tetelevised sa local channel nila. Nalalaman na lang sa broad sheets kinabukasan but sa locak news at the same day naman but just 20 seconds. It's not just the venue that matters but also yung holistic approach ng whole pageant that is important. Like, if you have good candidates who speak well about themselves and to the society, who can carry themselves decently to the whole world even though in their swimsuit competition, they can justify wearing skimpy outfit etc. Those small things that you see just let it go and at the end of the day, just think about the positive aspects that these competition will bring from the sponsors, organizers, candidates and most especially, we the spectator into our own lives.

Because it's all philippine products.. Philippine made pageant.. philippine is the venue kaya ganyan ang sinasabi.
Kung misa u o miss international na parepareho din ang activities wala sila sasabihin masama.

Eh di sya ang mag import ng mga products at makisosyo sya sa mga foreigners para sya mismo masaya sya at sabihin nyang high caliber.
