It does look like the British women just don't seem to care for pageants anymore. I've noticed that even in Miss England and Miss Universe GB, only a handful are what I would describe as pretty competitive. Let's hope that a British girl wins one of the major international pageants soon (Miss Universe would be best) to serve as a catalyst for renewed interest perhaps. Or come to think of it, Julia can bring back the crown to her own backyard. It's about time.
