Have you seen previous Miss World, look at Miss World 1993 and then answer your question.
Look at Miss Universe 1999, then answer your question.
Look at Miss Earth 2017, then answer your question.
Please do not single out Miss World.
People forget we are not the judges assigned during the prelims and finals night, we are pure spectators.
If people want change, either you create a business within the pageant industry and disrupt this industry, create a new "beauty pageant" on your own or your clique since this is what you want it to be called, join a pageant or sponsor a delegate until she wins the nationals and represent your country until she gets an international assignment.
To be honest, AJ, the topic reeks of sourgraping. You or anyone can not stop NDs sending delegates just because you did not like the outcome. Just in case for example the Philippines ends the 12 year-streak iin Miss Universe, gosh I'd be afraid of the effect on fanatics and zealots, will they hurt themselves just because their egos were hurt because of a non-placement. Please do not stir the pot and keep cooking stories out of the blue, the winner Miss Poland is deserving, the Top 3 is deserving, the Top 5 is deserving, the Top 13 is deserving, the Top 40 is deserving.
You win some, you lose some. It is as simple as that. We should be happy that other Asian countries are getting the attention aside from the Philippines.
Focus on the weakness of your bet delegate and tell them to improve but do not invalidate another delegate's win or higher placement, it is really inappropriate behaviour, it shows insecurity, jealousy and ill-will. As fans and real missosologists here, chose the high road and do not stoop down to gutter levels. A different opinion is ok, constructive criticism is ok but to invalidate just based on hearsay without facts is pure disinformation. What people should do is interview the supposed front-runners who you've thought were robbed like Miss SA, Miss Venezuela, Miss India - I will have respect if even them can tell us why they thought they did not place or won the pageant. I want to hear that, that would be more interesting than letting pundits here give their opinions.

Olympics is hard to manipulate esp if there are no judges involved.

That's why you put a Standard or Criteria to any competitions so it's hard to infuse Politics to it. No one will cheat either.

BUT SERIOUSLY THE BIGGEST MASSACRE IN PAGEANTRY OF NON INCLUSION OF MISS VENEZUELA,MISS SOUTH AFRICA IN TOP 13 AND INDIA IN TOP 6.
THEY WERE THE BEST 3 DELEGATES BY FAR,VENEZUELA THE MOST STUNNING BY FAR AND VERY CHARISMATIC,INDIA VERY LOVELY AND AMAZING SPEAKER AND SOUTH AFRICA SO SMART AND BEAUTIFUL ,THAT SHOCKING A EXCLUSION DRIVES IN ME SOMETHING FISHY AND POLITICAL(ELIMINATING THE BEST DELEGATES),AND POLAND IS THE COUNTRY VERY CLOSE TO THE WAR ZONE (RUSSIA/UKRAINE) THAT'S WHY I AM MAD,POLITICS SHOULD NEVER ENTER INTO PAGEANTS,THESE ARE REGULAR PEOPLE THEY ARE politicians OR GOVERNMENT,FOR ME THESE 3 (VENEZUELA,SOUTH AFRICA,INDIA) ARE THE REAL WINNERS IN MY MIND AND WILL REST FOREVER.PEACE

Computers and accounting firm during the final nights will at least lessen the impact of politics.![]()

Computers and accounting firms will only COUNT the scores or votes. Politics - in the hearts and minds of the judges - produce the results. It even won't matter if the best accounting firm is hired to count because they will only quantify what the judges provide them.
