Will Manasa win Miss World 2021 fair and square?

Postby ajsy0203 » Fri Dec 31, 2021 1:53 pm

Since we knew about the Miss World 2016 incident where the results were allegedly manipulated in favor of Stephanie Del Valle as the winner of the pageant instead of heavy favorite Catriona Gray. Do you think MWO can manipulate the results in favor of Manasa in order to fulfill the 1994 & 2000 M.U. and M.W. scenario which were won by India?

But based on the merits of the competition prior to the postponement, do you think Manasa can win the pageant fair and square?

Hahaha. Patay ka kay Nina for mentioning the 2016 results. MW is a bit unpredictable so India can win but I think this cycle will end this yr

I think so, since she really deserves to win and has been proving that from the first day of the competition. However, I do pray that their final leg in Puerto Rico will no longer be a mess after that ninety-day postponement.

According to the author of the Facebook page, Exposing Miss World Contest, Julia Morley will never crown either India or Venezuela ever again, so NO.

Why not? it's her favorite country??? lol

I remember when Megan won she said a year and years after that it's too early for Philippines to win again. But she gave India 2 back to back. =;))

No judging process in this contest so why not rig it

I think it will break this year. Unlike in the previous two editions, the top winners were from Femina Miss India which their scores need to be broken. But the two Indian queens this year are from two different contests though in the same umbrella. Also, Manasa is not doing much impact on this year's Miss World. I just hope I'm wrong.

Still can't wrap my head around pageant owners continuing to dictate the winners. For the national franchise holders, it's playing a game of wheel of fortune--why?

And yet Miss Earth and Miss Universe get dissed, big time. These are the two remaining pageants where we universally don't doubt the validation of the winners.

I agree. Karen Ibasco was maligned for giving a winning answer in 2017 in a field full of goddesses like Paweensuda Drouin of Thailand.
I also think Miss International has a good reputation for decades as far as the results is concerned. Their winners are universally appealing and beautiful 99% of the time.
The only problem with MI , if ever there was one, is that they are too Venezuela - centric.
And the fact that there is yet a black woman winning the MI crown since its inception is not too progressive and seems their values got left behind by the times.
Yes, they have black runner ups in this decade, but a runner up is not the winner & the face of the organization.
MI Organization, I'm still waiting for a black goddess as the winner.

Unlike Catriona Gray who is still very popular not only in the world of pageantry but also in the fashion world, no one talks about Stefanie del Valle anymore except the members of Stefanie's household.

Miss Universe has a more credible and Miss Earth has the most transparent way of judging. The candidates really compete and do their best while being judged. In Miss World, most of the time It is all a pretense that these girls are competing and these girls think so but in reality it is what "Julia wants Julia gets"especially if she already made a secret deal with an ND.This is not something new in the history of this pageant even during Eric Morley's time, so it is not a big surprise where She learned this to keep the pageant running. A leader of a country was invited to sit as head of the panel of judges and his candidate won over the heavily favored European entry. Then there was the video of Joan Collins who was so confused why the candidate from Russia was announced as the winner when she and the other judges picked the girl from the UK.

I can only imagine the amusing manner with which Joan Collins would recount that story, if ever she did. She's a hilarious story-teller.

Agree with Miss International. Inasmuch as I love its old-fashioned elegance and courtliness, it's so unpredictable, with no clear metrics of how the winners are judged. I won't be surprised if we suddenly end up with a low-key black winner.

Good Lord. You guys are deluded and psychotic. Catriona was not the heavy favorite to win. She did not even make the top three. Of course a deluded Filipino would say otherwise. Catriona was a copycat wannabe. She basically tried to copy Megan Young in every way at the 2016 Miss World. Let's be real.

She flopped and lost.

The covid-19 infection that led to the cancellation of Miss World 2021 finals served as warning to Julia Morley, Stefanie del Valle, Wilnelia Merced and that Indonesian ND not to repeat the 2016 manipulation of result in Miss World.

These people are all in hiding from covid now.

I don't care want you Filipinos say but Miss World is one of the most transparent pageant ever..

Head2Head challenge
BWAP
Topmodel
Talent
Sports
Multimedia

These fast-track events recognises the best deserving girls and give them direct entry in the finals..each and every girls gets the equal exposure and smallest of small countries get the equal opportunity to make cut which they can only dream in other pageants..

Accept or not Miss World and Miss Universe is still the most recognised and most reputated longest running pageant worldwide..They are onlyALPHA pageants..

About India if She wins she will win fair and square..she's a crown contender and frontrunner from the beginning..she already won BWAP and also placed in Talent round..It was just badluck that she grouped with cote d'lvoire who has huge fan following and support from her country other wise She would have easily won the Head2Head challenge aswell..

There is EY or reputable audit firm to validate the scores. Look at the judging table at MW. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

@-) @-) @-)

Still can't wrap my head around pageant owners continuing to dictate the winners. For the national franchise holders, it's playing a game of wheel of fortune--why?

And yet Miss Earth and Miss Universe get dissed, big time. These are the two remaining pageants where we universally don't doubt the validation of the winners.

I definitely disagree..apart from Filipinos no one in the World ever questioned the winners of Miss World whereas Miss Earth is one of the most bashed pageant ever for its biasness and epitome of it was in 2017..but still I always give a benefit of doubt to this pageant but it keeps on disappointing..even global beauties don't recognise it..

I was about to keep mum about your commentary. . . until you ended and validated it with a reference to Global Beauties.

It's like watching an intellectual-property documentary from a pirated DVD.

'Nuff said.

From a pageant insider:

If you still think Manasa will win despite her truly valid competencies, then that's your prerogative, not Julia's :-*

With all due respect, I think that insider story was outdated. Giving new countries a chance sounds pretty much like from those forumers here. Lol. :%))
If the MWO hates India, since 2017, as mentioned in that piece of allegation, Suman wouldn't have reached the top 3 or win Miss World Asia title. And I do feel Julia loved Venezuela this time and was planning to crown her. I always know, whenever this pageants are conducted in latin soil, we could expect a wtf result.
They could officially sabotage any candidate. We saw how Osmel and his cohorts cried like bitter souls when India was crowned this year.

And India is not in its Golden 90s to capture crown after crown. And we cant expect a seventh crown coming so soon to India. This time Miss Universe needs to shine and flourish. Even local media talked about the crown and its perks which I found very exciting. Let Miss Universe reign supreme in India this time and let the mouwad crown shine and entice Indians. We Indians should work double hard to impress MUO and convince them we love them equally or more. MUO is very hard to impress. But when they know we deserve it, they will give it to us. Its a truth.!

And Manasa is a strong candidate. Her Bwap was very well appreciated. She won the BWAP and also placed in Talent fasttrack. If she places in top 5, which i suspect, then there are greater chances for history to repeat.

People now realize that, despite the passage of years, karma will still strike the people who committed manipulation of result during MW 2016.

These people are now hiding like rats in the sewer.

Can I still trust MWO after the 2016 results fiasco if Manasa will win the crown in 2 months?

Doesn't matter. Its integrity has already been placed on the stand for all to see. No amount of Chlorox can wipe out that stain.
