Hey you guys, guess what ?
I've just seen Gwendoline Ruais in the "Le meilleur p√Ętissier" M6 show teaser!
I have no idea whether this show has international versions but it's like Masterchef but only about pastry and cakes.
It starts next week on M6.

I knew she had French roots but I had no idea she was that fluent in French :)

Is Gwen a Patisserie Specialist now? All she did was some piping technique which everyone can do with few minutes of consistent practice. She could have whipped an artisanal sample, i.e. kneading a croissant dough et al, to showcase her reinvented skill. Her acquired francophile accent is notable! haha!

Gwendolyn is back to the circulation with added features of herself. A new and better version of herself. If the package serves her right, you'll see her more soaring high. Likewise, she'll redeem herself after a long hiatus from the public eyes.

I didn't know she was that fluent in French, I'm surprised. Lol I don't know if she knows a lot about French pastry, has she been living in Paris for several years?

I think her father (or mother???) is French and she might have spent some time here.
By the way, this year they start with 20 contestants and will only keep the 14 best on the next week. Let's see what happens with her, it start on Wednesday Oct. 6th.

In this show, she is supposed to be able to bake, make pies, crusts, pastries, cake design, biscuits, macaroons, wedding cakes, croquembouche, spun sugar ... so many things ...

By the way, if you guys wonder what she's saying : "I am Gwen, I am 31, used to be Miss Philippines and 1st runner-up to Miss World in 2011. I am 1,80m and I am the smallest in my family. My mother was modeling in Paris, London, Milan so I have always wanted to become a model as well and I did not think about pageant at that time. Bakery and I is a big love story I have always loved eating cake but recently realize I love baking them as well. The aesthetic part is important to me, I want a cake to not only be good but also nice to see. I love competition and I believe I am up to the challenge and that I can win."

I saw on her social networks that she had been living in Paris for a while but I don't know if it's been really long, apparently she was already in France in 2019, I don't know about before and if she spent (maybe) part of her childhood in France. In any case, it is his father who is French.

I watched this show before, I enjoyed it, it's nice but I find that it's a bit always the same thing. XD I only followed one season, the one where Anne-Sophie had won and then nothing.

I like to watch it every year, it's nice, no violence, no brain needed, most of the time they cast nice people who are competitive but not sneaky.
And I just love Cyril Lignac, he's a sweetheart ;)

Well sadly Gwen was not selected amongs the 14 happy few.
She made her first cake with mango as a tribute to the Philippines though :)
