Next stop in Miss World's journey was New Zealand
The team did a lot of things but main purpose of visiting New Zealand was to support the BWAP project of
Miss New Zealand World 2015 Deborah Lambie called LearnCoach, which is a platform to educate kids who were unable to adapt to the normal curriculum with the help of computers.
Here are some highlights-
First of all, Miss World was hosted at a dinner along with the Members of The Parliament, the counsel general of India and many more at the Northern Club. National party MP Judith Collins gave a speech and then they spoke about the importance of beauty with a purpose and different programmes running around the world specially New Zealand.
Next morning, Miss World arrived at Television New Zealand for live interview with morning show Breakfast.
Then, Miss World visited Ronald McDonald house which cares for sick and terminally ill children, cooked food for over 120 children and their families, Miss World Org has supported this cause for a number of years. They had a meet and greet with parents and children, and some cultural activities.
Then Miss World travelled to Hoani Waititi Marae for traditional Māori welcoming (powhiri) and to film for LearnCoach.
They they visited Pōmarie Primary School to film for a documentary also about learnCoach.
Next day they had Interviews with the Ministry of education, teachers and students.
Then they visited the Oaklynn special needs school, toured and met with students.
Miss World team also had other fun visits like when they visited Giapo Kitchen and tasted delecious Kai. They also visited SkyJump 192m up the sky tower for a Sky walk in Auckland.
Manushi and Stephanie also gave an Interview to Māori Television where they defended and explained the purpose of Beauty Pageants.
Miss World NZ 2018 Jess Tyson accompanied Manushi throughout this trip, she said that highlight for her during the visit has been listening to how well spoken Manushi is when to talking to media and sharing the message about BWAP projects!
