So I was very lucky to have been one of the few press people to get inside Kia Theater during numbering the official Binibining Pilipinas candidates. Here are the things that I thought the pageant fans should know about the process…
* The pyramid line up is enforced once again this year. This means that the tallest girls are placed at the center with the shorter girls at the left and right sides. The girls are asked to remove their shoes and were asked to line up according to height. This was the more accurate way of lining them up in height as some of the girls wore really tall shoes.
* All press were instructed not to take photographs of the girls without their shoes on.
* During the numbering for Binibini 20 and 21, Catriona Gray and Anjame Magbitang were deadlocked in the middle of the girls. But who gets 20 and 21? So they were asked to stand back against each other to see their head heights and we saw that they were both 5’10” each. Their difference was Catriona had longer neck while Anjame had longer legs which made her look taller.
* It doesn’t mean that if you are assigned Binibini #3 or #6 you are taller than #1. It just so happens that all 5’6″ girls were grouped together at the first set and last set of 5 girls. Because in each group, ABS-CBN would re-arrange the girls so that no two morenas or mestizas or chinitas as side by side each other. This would have to do with how they would look evenly distributed on camera when filmed or photographed together.
* When asked if any of the girls had questions after their numbers were almost finalized, Samantha Bernardo spoke up and said that she and Samantha Avestruz are numbered one after the other at 28 and 29. So in order for both girls to have a stronger recall, they were separated and Samantha Bernardo was moved to #14.
* After the numbering, the press was asked to take photos for about 20 minutes before we were asked to leave the premises. The girls were given some additional instructions from ABS-CBN and BPCI. What followed after that would be the photo taking of the girls with their official numbers which was later posted on the Bb. Pilipinas Facebook page.
* After their respective shoots, we were able to catch some of the candidates as they left Kia Theater. There were girls who really looked better in person such as Agatha Romero, Ena Velasco and Juliana Kapeundl. Those that stood out with really gorgeous faces were Eva Patalinjug, Muriel Orais, Sigrid Grace Flores, Ana Patricia Asturias, Vickie Rushton and Karen Gallman. Sarah Joson and Angelie Aubrey Asuncion seemed to be the girls full of personality. I found Aya Abesamis a bit on the quiet side with an unassuming personality. Edjelyn Gamboa and Ahtisa Manalo also look good up close. Anjame Magbitang forces you to take a second look because despite being raw she has the potential to be transformed into a winner. Wynonah Buot and Sandra Lemonon are the ones having strong aura emanating from them.
NOW THE NUMBERING ISSUE IS RESOLVED. I JUST LAUGHED AT THOSE WHO ARE FORCING US THE BELIEVE THAT THE NUMBERING OF THE LADIES HAS HUGE SIGNIFICANCE IN CHOOSING THE WINNERS.

Cat's pics were barely even considered "erotic" Michele's was for a sports campaign and was tastefully done so i guess it's a non-issue. I think as long as it's tastefully done and as long as it's disclosed to BPCI then it's a non-issue.... like Kylie V.

Catrionians (especially on Facebook) are actually promoting less hype for Cat. We do not want other beautiful ladies in this batch to be intimidated by Cat. They all have what it takes.
We "overhype" her on our private FB group instead so she can feel the love and support.
To put more spotlight to other binibinis,
I want Mary Joy to be a runner-up so she can be more experienced (and more hungry for the crown hahaha) next time. She has a very workable face!
Karen Gallman is BEAUTY-FUL.
My girl, Khloe, I mean Michele, HAHAHAHA your lips are so sultry.
Jehza.... do something... I like her but I think she is being overpowered by other ladies. I want her to be MIP.

Of course, this is a good sign. High calibre girls who have done the same will not be apprehensive to join Bb. Pilipinas in the future. At the end of the day, Philippines pageantry wins.
Going back to the case of Catriona and Gumabao, those were not erotic photos. Though I believe that "erotic" can be very subjective, the photos did not appear in a "men's magazine" (passed by technicality, I guess).
Some haters are very disappointed about this, esp with Catriona's case. They thought that these photos could derail her journey.

With this body, ARE YOU KIDDING US?
Mahiya naman kayo mga Meow Meow fans.
What’s wrong with you people?
And these Misso forumers are supposed to be pageant experts. What a shame!
With this body, just saw it now, she is a laughing stock at Miss Universe or MI.
Pls for her sanity sake, tell her to withdraw, por favor.
She will not be a favorite with the Bb. Pil judges as well as the Miss Universe judges.
She will let the entire Phils down if sent to Miss Universe.
She has the MW Phils crown in her resume that’s enough. Geez, tell her to WITHDRAW and just concentrate more modeling instead. She will be embarrassing and be embarrassed. Stop forcing her to compete with this body, coz she can’t win.
She’s a letdown already.
I’m never her fan, and will never be even if fans will propel her to win Bb. Pil Universe crown.
This body is just not a Miss Universe material, one perhaps reason why she failed at MW.
Now, I know why my gut feeling says she’s not what Misso hypers think she is.
