Miss World is very unlike Miss Universe and Miss Earth where you can watch the contestants compete in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions and advance from semifinals to finals up to the announcement of the winners and her court.
In Miss Universe and Miss Earth you can watch the live competition on stage while in Miss World, they just give you a top 15 then after some presentations they announce the top 7 without any actual competition. How the Miss World top 15 is cut to top 7 has always been a mystery to me ever since I followed pageants. Anyway, I tried to look at the previous winners of this pageant and saw some mind boggling patterns.

What do you think, is it just me and my obsession with patterns or there really is something going on there (in fairness to Miss World, most winners are stunning)? Post your comments below!
PS. In light of the recent MW coronation night, I think China is pretty and sweet and if she wasn't crowned in China, many people would love her and she would be considered a pleasant surprise. But she was crowned in her home country and there were lots of irregularities in her selection (the scoreboard, judges were not introduced, the talent competition, etc.). Plus, her country bullied many Asian countries in recent times with regards to territorial disputes. I pity Miss China because she became a victim of her country's deeds, but anyway, congratulations to her!
I really suspect that the Chinese government did not allow Philippines to advance in the finals and also to win the talent competition or the multimedia award and they even did not award the designer's award because of territorial disputes with the Philippines. I think Ms Philippines deserved to be in the top 7.
