Janelee Chaparro PUERTO RICO
Still underrated although she seems to be getting a lot more attention since she arrived to Ordos; she fits the MW standards quite well. Her candids are sufficient evidence of how much attention she has been getting and that she seems to be on the right track. As for the fast tracks go, she has made her presence be noticed placing in at least three of the mini challenges. Janelee is an excellent communicator and projects better in videos than in photos; evidence of that is that she seems confident enough when interviewing and is very telegenic. After a second runner up placement for Puerto Rico last year, it will be difficult for this girl to surpass what Amanda did; however her sweet aura and her humble character might have her set up for the crown. I have high hopes in her!

Mariana Berumen MEXICO
If the Miss World Organization wants to surprise us again with another greatly beautiful winner this year, then they need not to look past Mariana Berumen from Mexico. I love the classic Mexican look she has! She's been looking impeccable in every single picture, both candid and professional, and even when she tries not too. Added to that, she has made a great impression on the fast tracks being a semifinalist in most. I was impressed by how well she manages the English language and by her communication skills in general. In her presentation video she shows us what a great ambassador she can be and how well spoken she is. Elegant and soft are two words to describe her on an overall scale. Mariana also looks like a humble lady bringing the current Miss World, Ivian Sarcos, to memory every time I see her. I feel like she can be the one to bag the crown this year.

Sophie Moulds WALES
Sophie was my favorite from all the girls at an early stage, just because of her huge expressive eyes and her overall doll face! I think this girl can do good for it has been observed in past MW pageants a tendency towards the countries or territories who are linked historically to England. Her incredible beauty however has been her biggest weapon, and although her interview skills could be better, it is her angelical presence what has made her stand out so much. Sophie seems friendly as well in group pictures and it is easy to know that she has a very simple personality, which is very likable in Miss World. Miss Wales is another name sounding a lot in the mini challenges. It is not hard to picture Sophie Moulds with the Miss World crown this year.

Linda Bartosova CZECH REPUBLIC
I loved her presentation video, very intelligent! Linda was my favorite to win her national pageant and she is among the most stunning faces on the competition this year. She reminds me of actress Scarlet Johanson sometimes; and although more suited for Miss Universe, her serenity and beauty could make her grab a spot in Miss World. You can tell by the way she expresses herself that she is as eloquent as she is beautiful. She also seems to posses a very natural and genuine personality that can work on her favor. Having not made it to many mini challenges, she needs to ace her interview with the judges to hope for a placement. I fear that she will be wasted, but still, Czech Republic gave us a beauty this year worth making it to every beauty enthusiast list!

Barbara Turbay COLOMBIA
Hands down the most complimented girl since her arrival to Ordos. Gives me Perla Beltran vibes, and though not as beautiful as the Mexican queen, she is been getting equal attention ad I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the top 5 group come final night. She has had a very good performance in the fast track events, and seems to be among the most solicited girls by everyone. Barbara has a type of beauty, however, that is more up to the MU standards. So even though I see her among the finalists, I am not so sure about her fate in this pageant. On a positive note, she seems to be in the spotlight every time a picture comes out and a smile is never missing. Her presentation video is among the best, and she screams professionalism in every way!

Delphine Wespiser FRANCE
She has improved tones since she was crowned Miss France. I would like to see her place, especially because she is the kind of girl Miss World tends to fall for. Unluckily for her, she hasn’t done very well in fast tracks; however her bubblyness in videos and pictures make her easily noticed, and she seems to bring happiness wherever she is at. In a pageant like Miss World, where your job is to make this world a better place, I bet that is sufficient for a placement consideration. She precisely talks about that in her presentation video, and her candid shots are a proof of it... I really hope she nails the interview round, for she could make the top group a lot more colorful and fun to watch. Delphine is a beautiful ray of sunshine!

Every time I see a picture of this girl, she seems to be IT! She is not the most beautiful, but she acts like it.... I even have an impression that she has been getting much more attention that the other girls and by the official updates, she seems to be making some noise in Ordos. I like her energy, and she seems right now like a sure placer even though she hasn’t been the best in the fast track events. Hoangmy is a friendly type of beauty, not a stunning girl, but attractive enough to steal the spotlight from anyone. Her presentation video is quite good, and she is among the most experienced girls pageant wise this year.

Queenerich Rehman PHILIPPINES
Queenrich is without a doubt, more beautiful than her predecessor, but not by much. She has been impressive so far in her fast track performances being one of the few to make it into every single one of it. Her communication skills are good and she seems smart as expected. Having had such an incredible performance already, the interview round should be what seals the deal for her for a final spot. If I was to judge her based on looks, then it could be said that she is neat looking. If she manages to keep it up, and she polishes her look a bit more, then it is safe to say this girl is a serious contender for the crown. Philippines might repeat what they did last year with this girl.

Atong Demach SOUTH SUDAN
My sentimental favorite, specially because she has been bashed so much for being so rare. I find this girl to be of the most extraordinary beauty and I am in love with her eyes and statuesque presence. Best in Africa for me, and surely the best black contestant to my taste. We have been seeing a lot of her, and my intuition tells me she will shut some mouths at the end and could surprise many as well. Her video is impeccable, as are her communication skills…. She was the best in that area for me and I know MW eyes are on her for that. Given her region, I bet she has a great cause for Beauty with a Purpose, although she has been doing such a great job in the other fast tracks, that I think she won’t need it. Keep your eyes in this girl, because she could be a very well deserved “crown stealer”!

Camila Recabarren CHILE
Amazing girl! So poised, elegant, beautiful, so Miss World like in her own way. I have always admired Chilean women because of the strength they are able to transmit, and she fills me with that sensation. Another sentimental of mine, and I know many people are equally mesmerized by this girl. Her pictures are always so classically stunning, and her presentation video speaks of that elegance she exudes. I truly hope she places!

I know... that's why I wrote "Irregardless of their possibilities" at the beginning; I just wanted to share my favorites and the reasons I adore them. The truth is, this year is so full of girls with potential, we might see some dark horses get the high marks, and those are not always the prettiest. Philippines and Mexico however, are two that I think are IN by now.
