MW CONTINENTAL REVIEW - ASIA

Postby MW2012 » Fri Jul 27, 2012 3:24 am

Dear Readers,

Last week I posted my review on African contestants. This week is all about culturally rich and diverse, the lands of the east - ASIA

Before I begin, just a small disclaimer. I am not here to denigrate any contestants and I have never mentioned foul about anyone so please do not spit your venom if you do not agree with the review

Thank You

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VIETNAM - Hoangmy VU

Image

She is one of the top bet contestants to be making the cut at the MW finals. Having a previous pageant experience and now with all the preparation and training alongside huge support form her countrymen, Vietnam tops the list of the Asian continent. She is amazingly beautiful and freshness galore. With probability of around 80-90% of advancing in semi-finals she stands still as media favorite even in week 2 at MW 2012.

CHINA PR - Wenxia YU

Image

She is tall, statuesque and can't complain if she has home turf advantage. She is a guaranteed spot in semi-finals and now ranging up to 70% to be the finalists at MW 2012. She is giving a great fight to dominate Asia.

PHILIPPINES - Queenierich REHMAN

Image

Philippines is having a gala time in pageants off late. She is hugely favored by media and betting agencies around the world but dominating in the middle-east to be one of the finalist in MW 2012. She is 95% secured of placing in top 15.

NEPAL - Shristi SHRESTHA

Image

Nepal is one of the most prolific contestants this year. The hype around her has generated lot of positive reviews about her. She is the darkhorse of the competition, though, for now 60% probability of making the first cut. She can rise in the later part of the competition and most likely for her cause supported.
She kind of deserves her placement for all beautiful she is and also for garnering media attention which redirects Miss World.

KAZAKHSTAN - Evgeniya KLISHINA

She is very beautiful and could do well. For now, she is short of 25% for crossing the chances of entering competition. She could be a surprise!

ISRAEL - Shani HAZAN

One of the biggest disappointments post competition. She started as one of the favorites to win the competition but yet to show her potential. She is ranked around 20 and wavering chances of making top 15.

INDIA - Vanya MISHRA

India has entered started off well but she is not an incredible contestant with high chances of making the cut. But she has improvise her probability and now is in Top 25 contestants bracket. For now not a high chances but she is slowly becoming a contestant to look out for.

Contestants gearing up: MONGOLIA, MACAU CHINA, INDONESIA, SRI LANKA

Thank you very much for your kind review about Miss Vietnam.
After going through your review I've realized that Miss Vietnam need missosology.org to be up there at the top in the final although she has almost all necessary merits of a top fav.
Anyway, I am very happy. And wish all the misses esepcially Asian misses the best of luck.

You said on your previous thread that Miss Philippines is overrated, then here you said she is
"95% secured of placing in Top 15." Hmmmm. ;;?

But nonetheless this is a great review. Freshness galore indeed by Vietnam. 8->

I'll be waiting for your reviews on the American and European continents, and Australia too I guess. :=p

India, Philippines, Israel and China the best of Asia. Surely one of them will place. I love Vietnam too, due to her experience over in Miss Universe 2011, I think she has the chance to make the cut. Nepal is stunning, hopefully she will place both beach beauty and top model. talking about semi final she will be 50-50 chance of placing.

Contestant warming up will be Macau, Thailand, Hong kong China, and KAZAKHSTAN. I would like to see more pics of both Japan and Korea. that's all.

Good luck to the ladies above.

Vietnam is a breath of fresh air. There's a certain je ne sais quoi within her. Maybe it's the calmness that reflects on her eyes. She and the Philippines for me. Queenie on the otherhand, is unstoppable. She came prepared with her eyes on the prize.

Miss Philippines comes strongly prepared. It's to Queenie's credit that she has a National Director who is a Julia Morley "clone", I mean Cory Quirino believes in and understands what Ms World is looking for in a candidate. CQGQ has a dauting task to uphold, she has to be able to capture the crown for the Philippines within the next 2-3 years if only because the country shall be hosting Ms World and to justify the huge cash outlays her major sponsors have provided to keep the MWP annual search running. In today's business parlance it's called "OBS" - outcomes-based search for short, where the "outcome" is the main determinant to keep the sponsorship up and running yearly without hitch.

Dear Reader,

That's a very tangible on your part to believe your assumption. I second it and get the drift of your persuasion. However, take a note to recherche that is also doing the rounds. China PR has extended their contract with Miss World for the same OBS you are talking about. So prioritizing China PR is also the foyer principal for Julia Morley.

No argument there MW2012. But I believe that even if China is favored to win, the China PR candidate cannot win consecutively the 2-3 year span that I am postulating in my assumption. The Ms World pie is large enough to be shared by those who come prepared. And that is Cory Quirino's task and what she hs been mandated to achieve: field in a candidate that could bring in the 1st Ms World crown before the annual event is staged in the Philippines. Cory Quirino owes that to her major sponsors and she won't stop nonetheless until the 1st Ms World crown is set on the head of the Philippine delegate. CQGC cannot prolong that agony of waiting. A winner has to be proclaimed for the country in the immediate 2 to 3 years. If otherwise her mandate is wasted and that would be the end of her quest. Mark my word.

Considered. But from what's doing the inside rounds is China is upcoming market with tremendous potential and to wary those away is not doable. The ginormous amount invested by Chinese sponsorers are nonpareil and to giansay that is unseemly at this point.

In the future, yes! Philippines market is surging and increasing its potential even on world denominations. So, this piece of fact need not be stored but habituated very soon.

No way that Ms. Vietnam tops Asia. We all know that she is a has-been, she never penetrated MU that's safe enough to surmise her slim if not nil chance cracking the semis in MW. And do not bog me with your theoritical parlaying of the distinct criteria or mechanics MW and MU select their winners. Ms. Vietnam is pretty but that's all about it. Some of the forumers seemed to have conspired to drum up hype for her and mislead the public of the true contenders for the crown. Merits speak for themselves and only a select few in Asia have succeeded so far. There are just so many stunning girls, but I give her props for the freshness and charisma she exudes. However, this alone doesn't guarantee her a spot unless some inevitable intervention from one of the judges comes into play.

Thanks for your kind words on Miss Vietnam. Yes, she is fighting! No matter what the result will be, she has already done a superb job in representing us. We are proud of her! China is my favourite too. :-* :-* :-*

Does a candidate need to look young to guarantee her the Miss World crown? Last time I checked the girl should be able to do well on the fast tracks too for a sure spot. And the old-looking girl you are talking about does exceptionally well on the fast tracks as of the moment by qualifying on all the latest three.

i still dont geeeeeeeet the hype around miss vietnam, i'm asian and i find her beauty ordinary at all .. for me, she looks like a plain version of mS. supsup . even some of the binibini pilipinas girls looks way more beautiful than her

china is not really strong. she's ok to me. well, thanks to her sash. if shes miss indonesia or malaysia, no one would take notice at her.. no wtf winner pls =O/

ms philippines is not old-looking, in fact she's fresher than miss nepal candid 2 candid.. i just dont liker her prominent nose but overall she's more beautiful than the above two. beauty experts alert >:)

india is neextttttt :-j

nepal - thanks for my photoshop pics hehe
