One of the major component of Manushi's BWAP project regarding menstrual hygiene is the installation of biodegradable sanitary pad production unit. These pads, are not only environmentally friendly, but are also more economically attainable by people from low income community. Started by Manushi in a collaboration with Aakar Innovations when she was 18, this initiative gains more prominence and attention after her substantial crowning as Miss India and later Miss World. With the help of Indian government and private sectors, Manushi and MWO started the very first BWAP tour across India last February, and installed 40 production units of biodegradable sanitary pad in 12 states.
Now this project has reached even a larger scope, with South Africa adopting the same concept. The very first of this unit was inaugurated yesterday at Mvezo - the birthplace of Madiba - by current South African President himself, Cyril Ramaphosa. A second unit will soon be installed at Johannesburg. And following that, Kenya and Rwanda will also be part of this initiative.
I think it's not an overstatement to say that MWO is going really big in BWAP during Manushi's reign

Look at the impact they have in a foreign country other than the winners hometown or MWO official hometown. The organization is directly involving with the government organizations to make a change in the country. Its something that some pageants who are considered major can only dream.
Recently Miss Korea org merged the two pageants as one Miss Queen Korea and they decided to send the winner to Miss World and the runner ups to Miss Universe and Supranational. Times are changing. Ego and attitude wont take any pageant further. And fans screaming is also going out of vogue.[/size

The fact that you have to mention other pageants to make MW stand out, makes them superior. I didnt know that they are involved to gov orgs? South Africa, maybe India because of the reigning MW? Miss queen korea to send winner to miss world? who said that? missheart? jajaja dream!
