As this year´s edition of Miss World will have a completely new feature which is the Multimedia Award. Each contestant uploads pictures, videos, letters, diaries,...etc. on their personal Miss World site to let their fans/audiences keep updated and get animated. It sounds quite interesting and I am really excited for this year´s Miss World edition. Do you think Miss World 2012 will capture the heart of most beauty pageant fans to the extent that they prefer MW over MU? :-D

Miss World 2012 is just around the corner but pageant fans are more eager to talk about Miss Universe 2012 which will be held very late this December.There may be discussions in this fora and other pageants websites about Miss World during its run this August but I surely bet as long as the girl is crowned everyone's attention will be focused and will be all agog to talk about Miss Universe 2012 in wherever venue it might be held.lol

After the Hoopla at Miss Canada this year, and because of the changes Miss World did last year, I am now more a Miss World fan.

Definitely yes, simply because the contestants for Miss World are far better than those of Miss Universe!

I love both pageants but if I have to choose I would pick Miss World over Miss Universe anytime. Miss World is the first ever pageant I have ever watched in my life, and that what makes me interested in pageant for the first time, guess it is more like a sentimental value.

If Miss World had the same pace like Miss Universe did like in the 90's when Eric Morley was still running the show--it would be my favorite pageant by far. I'm just not feeling Julia's touch on the pageant, but at least she continues to work on it.

For 20 years,Miss World is still stuck with the same format in Final 7 or 5 asking the candidates to convince the jury in 20 minutes (or was it 1 hour?) on why they should be elected as Miss World.While each candidate is busy delivering their rehearsed answers from months of memorization( prepared by their national directors) and pretentious monologue,Julia already had the result inside her bra.lol =;))

Unless judging changes in MW, I'll never be a FULL supporter of it! It's ridiculous Julia Morley is on judging panel, the semifinalists being cut to finalists without an evevening gown or swimsuit presentation. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS!!

i don't know the answer lol i like both but what makes MW more excited than MU is how the girls came from no where ended as Semifinalists or even Snatch the crown

SO IF YOUR COUNTRY DOESN'T DESERVE TO WIN,WOULD IT BE A DIFFERENT'S?? My country got in Miss Universe more than Miss World and I still love Miss World more than Miss Universe for several reasons :!!

According to Google trends also. Miss Universe is still the top and leading beauty pageant worldwide. Far second is Miss World then Earth and International. that's also a fact :-D
