Agree with you Jek. Scherri-Lee has the perfect balance of warmth whilst still exuding a drive to win the crown.

Monday 18th July

Today we filmed with channel 9's Today show at a Sydney location to show the 2nd fitting. I was a nervous wreck but Scherri took it all in her stride and was such a relaxed professional. What a delight! My favourite Miss Universe Australia EVER!

Even some American tourists waited til end of filming to come take pictures with her. I believe they have been officially converted to cheer for Australia now

2nd fittings went well! We're on our way to make minor changes now, and I will be starting on the dresses tomorrow. Still waiting for some silk to arrive so I can cut the patterns out of my gorgeous fabrics.

Poor Scherri had a bit of a flu so please wish her well that she gets well asap!

I wonder if the evening gown is blue or is purposely pixelated blue to deceive us... anyway, I am super geeed to find out what it is! THe suspense is killing me!!!

I've been in contact with a few models who wish to enter our 2012 Miss Universe Australia Pageant. We have some stunners lining up to continue our strong showing at Miss Universe in the year to come.

How did you feel upon hearing the news that you had won the title of Miss Universe Australia?

Completely overwhelmed! I didn’t sleep a wink that night! It almost felt surreal. One minute I was over the moon excited and the next i was a ball of nerves, thinking of what was to come and then back to being ecstatic again. You obviously consider what it might be like to win in the lead up to the final, but i promise you, nothing can prepare you for what you really feel on that night!

Why do you think it’s important to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle?

I’m a huge believer in this. Western society today is particularly unhealthy, yet we’re still up in arms about heart disease, diabetes and cancers. I’m not saying that purely adopting a healthy lifestyle will cure all of these issues completely, but fuelling our bodies with the things it requires will at least give it the fighting chance. Personally for myself living a healthy lifestyle means energy and health, which suits my busy schedule.

What does your daily beauty routine entail?

I use a few things. In the morning I keep it light and natural. I use the Nude by nature natural face wash and toner and finish off with a 30+ sunscreen. At night I use Via Condotti 5% glycolic wash to keep my skin rejuvenating and finish off with the Via Condotti vitamin c serum.

What are the top five beauty products you can’t live without?

1. Kiehls Olive fruit oil shampoo and conditioner. Works well with my thick hair.

2. Nude by Nature Mineral Primer and Nude by Nature Finishing Veil. To keep my makeup fresh all day.

3. Natures are all natural paw paw balm with added shea butter, macadamia and jojoba oil.

4. Moroccan oil for my hair.

5. Nude by natures soft focus illuminator, to high cheekbones, nose, and cupids bow.

What beauty tips do you have for Gold Coasters?

Friday 22nd July

Today I finished cutting the fabrics out of the final patterns. Took me about 10hours all up... they're ready to start being sewn! Yay!

I'll be sending Scherri-Lee pics of the progress so she knows where we're at.

Still doing the hand embellishing... Can't even tell you how many hours it's taken so far, and will continue to take!

To help me get through the hours I'm watching my favourite inspirational movies, one of them being Amadeus. Love Mozart!!! I'm also watching Le Nozze di Figaro, and Die Zauberflote DVDs that I bought from the Mozarthaus in Vienna.
