I must say I think Margarita dominates in every photo she is in..... she really has such a beautiful & unique face and what a cracking figure! I hope she re-enters

Margarita is beautiful but looks like she should be competing at Miss USA only. Same goes for Judith. Margarita should add some golden tones through her hair, and wear a dress that's more befitting. She reminds me of Scarlett Johansson. I hope she competes next year, but styled to a Universe standard. The mermaid tail doesn't suit her shape. Now after seeing more images of Chloe, she's still in my top 5 but facially she's unusual and I haven't made my mind up yet. I would really like to have seen these girls talk on stage to confirm my opinion. Although Duchess, if we critique or praise a girl on her genetic make up only then we're admiring pageants for all the wrong reasons. If Margarita gave an excellent interview or 'networked' with the judges more then maybe she would have placed even higher... She was a far stronger contender than Holly though and I'm sure she could have got us in the top 16 at the least at Universe.

Hi Pageant Guru - I think Chloe looks amazing in these pics too and yes a very unusual face not classicly beautiful but she has something intruiging about her. To be honest I was really dissapointed with Judith Keys she reminded me of an american sweet as coconut pie prom queen, in fact in a couple of years I think she would be excellent for Miss World. After seeing more pics of Sandra on the night I think I should eat humble pie and say she is a stunning girl. I do however stand by my opinion of her choice of footwear... I must also give Sandra credit for coming on MISSO and congratulating Holly etc it was very dignified and a lovely gesture which is an excellent quallity. And you are right a sucessful beauty queen is excellent all round and possibly this is the key factor as to why Sandra Marie Lees has achieved so much success. I disagree with Maragrita I think she has something really special. I really think Holly's tattoo may seriously hinder her chances at Miss Universe. Aside from the tatto I think she needs a lot of work and serious polishing before she goes off to represent us. All in all I do think the level of contestants was to an excellent standard and the competition was great! Go GB!!!

P.S I do find it quite bad that the miss universe gb webiste has not yet been updated with Hollys win Saturday night... so its annoying there is no official photos been posted just candid shots on social media.

Seriosuly, how are they going to conceal that tattoo?! And yay for Sandra getting on here! That's a really humbling thing to say Duchess. I noticed Sandra about 2 years ago and took a shine to her when she competed at Earth, I thought everyone would too and never understood why UK fans were so against her succeeding. Honestly... what put me off Sandra initially was your (Pageant Guru) agressive way of propmoting her much earlier in this thread. Dont get me wrong you are clearly a die-hard fan of Sandra's and I'm sure she is grateful to have you however like you said I'm sure Sandra would also appriciate a stonger fan base in the UK and support here instead of just one super fan. What i mean to say is although you love Sandra you dont do her any favours or encourage others to love her by the style in which you promote/support her. Anyway thats just my thoughts. lol.

Sandra should enter Miss England.. I'm starting to see why she is so sucessfull because i think she does present well, is probably well spoken and diplomatic which are qualities Miss England take seriously as there is a couple of on stage questions.

Thinking of Miss England a few of the GB are in the semi and the finals:
Chloe Othen, Judith Keys & Harriet Cole (finals)

Good luck to them! Maybe this contest will be more suited to Judith... will be interesting to see how she gets on.
I'm not sure if Harriet & Chloe have much of a chance at Miss England..... They dont have that Miss "England" look, they were both more suited for Miss GB and I'm still heartbroken that Harriet didnt place in the top 5 - I know it ment a lot to her. Its a shame that there is no longer the Miss Hawaiian Tropic style contest as I think Harriet & Margarita would have been be excellent in fact I think Margarita did very well in Miss Swimsuit International contest which is not one I follow so I'm not sure how good the contest is... her pics from the contest however look amazing.

You are right they are not going to be able to cover that tattoo it because of things like this that It should be mandatory to wear a two peice bikini and if wearing a sarong that it should be removed at some point so you can be judged peoperly. I think its was really bad form for Holly to be somewhat doshonest about her tattoo and if I were the organisers would be very upset.... however I think they are all so in awe of her height (the only thing they have clearly been concertrating on) that they proably havent even discovered the body-art.

Good morning all, interesting read over my morning coffee.
I had to speak up when I read the American reference...Judging only by the photos on here, Judith wouldn't cut the grade. US Girls are primed from a young age and it is regarded a profession and taken very seriously here. Without being vindictive having a toned body is total key...you could be the most proportioned voluptuous girl in the world but without the Victoria Secret (Brit reference - Bond Girl) like features it just wont happen state side.

Judith does look well suited to GB pageants and is young so she will develop a stage presence over time which will lead to success. She clearly has a well off daddy with the Sherry she is wearing wow! Very up to date flava following the Miss World finals. (Where did she place?)

Chloe is most favoured to my eye because of the fundamentals I described above. Very proportioned and toned. Someone pointed out her dress (which is nice before someone defends) but I agree it is dated against the Sherries in the competition...simply no competition. Very sell able girl (is she from GB... doesn't sound Brit) she needs an agent. (Where did she place?)

Margarita looks very commercial and I can see her doing well in the editorial market.It might be the shots but she seems wide hipped which is in her favour in evening wear but not so much in bikini. Again Margarita (is she from GB...sounds Russian, probably is) should be represented.

Sandra, very southern gal look (US) which is appealing. Good physique but short which will always be a hindrance (hence the shoes). Anything under 5'8 and you wouldn't be in a good position at the Final (just sayin - before you get all 50 cent on me Guru)! Hair is totally awesome.

Holly is very tall which can also be intimidating but I think she looks proportioned to it. The ink is an interesting topic and I hope it doesn't turn out the way the Miss Ireland did this week for her own sake. I'm sure Sandra wouldn't want to be crowned this way either. I'm assuming the Miss Universe GB organizers still haven't discovered this or worked out how to resolve it?

I'm glad you pointed this out. I actually like and support a lot of the candidates but for this thread I kept my profile and name private for Sandra's sake and all the other girls I've supported. In America a fans confidence in a candidate comes much earlier on in the game and I'm a huge believer in you have to believe it before it can happen, but that then all comes down the circumstances and the contender herself. In my defense, I felt that my only argument on here was my being accused of being her, which of course makes her look bad and this was unfair. I've never had this issue in any US forums before... perhaps because the fan base is a thousand times larger. I didn't want her reputation to be hurt and so I needed to make my point and of course do my job to support and keep her in the talk.

I hope that some of these enter next year because they'll receive my support too and I REALLY hope GB can be more focused on the FINAL. Finally, it's a shame but I think Sandra has grown out of the Miss England pageant age category, hence why I haven't seen her elsewhere. What is the age limit? I've never really followed Miss England as in the US Universe offers the best exposure and career.

AND I have NEVER seen a tattoo that large on any of the ladies competing at the level Holly is about to enter. Do the organizers even know?! Her height means sweet FA to me. Sandra and Margarita look tall enough and have much stronger faces and BOTH of them were captivating on stage. The group of people who attended the pageant with me all agree! I say this purely because I don't want to seem bias. (in response to Queenstar) Sandra if they do dethrone Holly- TAKE IT! Who cares how you get crowned, it's Universe that counts. I wish all the girls the best in their careers and hope to see them back again.

Holly, a first year psychology student at Cardiff University, won the title on Saturday night at Town Hall in Birmingham. She will now go on to represent Great Britain at Donald Trump’s Miss Universe final overseas later this year.
Forty young women from across Great Britain competed for the crown in front of a panel of eight judges from the beauty and fashion industry.
Now the 5’ 11” student will prepare for a year of adventure which will include visiting America for dress fittings with MacDuggal collections and a personal appearance in Morocco with competition sponsors, The Sunstar Group.
Holly said: “Miss Universe is the first pageant I have ever entered and so I cannot believe I’ve won! It is so exciting. I’m really hoping to make everyone proud.”

In these pics she looks much better... I think she has potential to be quite attractive but at the moment has no control over her face and lacks grace. I really do hope that Holly with the help of Vibe can pull it together and have her polised before the final.

I agree with Duchess on the above and I am very surprised to hear it was Holly's very first pageant she must have had a lot of training and a complete natural to beat the seasoned professionals.

Seems like the organisers must already be aware of the tattoo as Holly has just posted this pic of her in the swimwear round of Miss Wales (qualifier for Miss Universe GB - again ran by same Welsh organisers) where the tattoo is fully on dispaly. They must not be so worried about it as we are! lol

In some countries the girls prizes are like veneers and professional cosmetic work- pretty hard to compete against (and I'm not for or against this). I think she's pretty and the height is definitely striking.

I really can't be sure, I just know it's unusual. Hey, if transsexuals are allowed to compete now then why not. I'm unsure, I mean if beauty pageants were for 'anyone' then the challenge to achieve the 'uniformed' look would be pointless. It's like body building, would you compete if you were skinny?! I'm excited to see how she does at Universe. She's a young girl in a massive competition and I hope she finds the experience to be a positive challenge.

Wow! Just wow. 1st RU.

From the neck up, absolutely stunning. Happy to eat my words and say she looked amazing.

However, the swimsuit and heels combo isn't flattering - it makes her look like she has stumpy legs and a fat bum, and i'm sure she most definitely doesn't have either! Personally I think a higher leg cut on the brief (like the super-high cut ones you see at Miss America) and a nude peep toe would have been infinitely more flattering to her figure. Dare I say it, I think this styling may well have been the difference between her winning and ending 1st RU.

PS the shoes aren't as bad as some of the "stripper shoes" you see around. Just look at Courtney Stodden!

Once again MISS USA 2012 is stunning as ever! A full package. I'm done with supporting Great Britain in pageants. Until the organizers hand their job over to professionals I couldn't careless. On with Universe and bye bye GB.

Hey guys
First of all, these photo's are all awesome!!

This post was interesting to read because I know many of the girls in the comp.

Chloe Othen is a friend of mine and we competed together at Miss England 2010. She got through the Semis with me, which was really tough. 60 of us competed for 10 places, and I remember when the ten of us had photo's taken after, her dress was STUNNING, black and white She's awesome. She then won Miss Model of the World England and flew to China. As you can imagine, those guys LOVED her.

Unfortunately this year she re-entered Miss England and didn't get through...I was gutted. I didn't understand! She's REALLY strong and wore the same dress to the Semi's that Magarita wore at MUGB (The sherri ruffled fishtail - imagine how amazing it looked).

I hope that FRONT take Chloe on and turn her into our next MUGB! She can do it, I know she can.

I was particularly pleased about Sandra because she has been my friend for the last three years. She is a pleasure to compete with, is curteous, diplomatic and selfless, will help any girl in any situation and will go out of her way to make somebody smile. Despite winning over 13 titles herself, she is never too busy to chat at length with you, and she's so easy to talk to about anything. I regularly voice my insecurities to her and pick her brains and she's just lovely to know. Further still, when I saw Sandra the week after MUGB, she told me how beautiful and deserved Holly was. How lovely is that?

She's an excellent pageant coach, and because of her expert tutoring, I was placed 3rd RU at Miss Great Britain International!! Which is pretty amazing considering I have a severe auto immune disease affecting my joints! Sandra loved my sparkly shoes with a 6.2inch heel!! lol - She didn't make me feel rubbish for being 5"6 - she told me to make the most of "me". I really learned so much from her, things I'd never thought of! I would seriously recommend getting in touch with Sandra for pageant coaching as she's an excellent public speaker and runway model and can help you in all aspects

I thought she looked radiant and elegant, as did all the girls, on the stage that evening at Miss Universe GB. The standard was insaaaanneeee! I just don't know howww they do it!

Erm, there's this thing about height, do you think that it is still as relevant now that Miss USA is so petite? It's nice to know I'm taller than somebody

Holly will be an excellent representative, can't wait to see her at MU! Such a lovely fresh face, beautiful eyes and figure I would LOOOVE to look like that! She's so natural and has her "teenage" innocence still with her, yet lines of experience (tattoo). It makes her such an interesting character. I've heard from loads of girls that she's just really lovely and funny. Pleased for her
