The 90s was the most disastrous decade in MU.The judging was dumb.Year after year the least deserving contestant won the crown.The ones like Namibia 1992 and India 1994 did not even deserve to finish in the top 20 in their respective years.

Veruska ain't that bad but I 100% AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENT. Some people still say disgusting things about Wendy and that Veruska was more deserving ESPECIALLY because of her skincolour. I just choose to ignore negative posters (not necessarily on this site) no matter how much I'm tempted to argue. Anyways, no matter what negative things people have to say about Wendy or any other MU winner, they won and no one can take that away from them

I do love the 90's era. Where the contestant respected on their ability in thinkin'. Lots of beautiful-with no brain girl were left out. I do agree with some of your choices -- such as Carolina Iszak in 1992 (one of my favorite MU contestants ever!), Voni Delfos in 1993 (gorgeous!), Carolina Gomez in 1994, Verna Vasquez Ianother favorite of mine!) in 1997 and Diana Noguiera in 1999....... however, I believe the actual winners in 1991, 1995, 1996 (like you said), 1998, and 2000 were those that deserved to win that night.

I agree that the 1990s produced some horrid winners, but I would have a couple of tweaks to your list:

1) 1994 - I loved both Sushmita and Carolina, but I was glad Sushmita won.
2) 1997 - I would have chosen Italy over Curucao, but both are much, much better than Brook Lee.
3) 1998 - I thought Wendy was a great choice, and never found the Venezuelan delegate that year to be very bright.

I love your other picks though - especially Colombia in 2000! She was ridiculously beautiful!

1991- I loved Lemigova (being that sweet Soviet girl who charmed that Americans and the world) but Lupita was just unstoppable.
1992- Iszak is a goddess. I didnt know why she didnt enter the top 3 considering she beat up Nini Leal in Miss Venezuela that later beaten up McLean in Miss World.
1993- Delfos was cute. as for the winner, should've been Colombian Paola Betancourt or Venezuelan Milka Chulina.
1994- Sush was ok though i love Carolina sooooo much. =(
1995- boring year.
1997- We all love Brooke's humor. But Verna Vasquez or Denny Mendez could've been great winners too.
1999- should've been Miriam.
2000- cmon. we cant even dispute Lara's win! the crown was really hers.

thank you very much...the worst part is that india robbed colombia twice...people just know of 1994 when a plain jane tranny by the name of sushmita sen won over the goddess from colombia.....In 2000 the same thing happened..Lara Dutta looked like a granny with that ugly bun...so what she gave a perfect interview...this is a beauty contest..more weightage should be given to swimsuit and evening gown..so that we dont have plain jain winners like sushmita sen,brooke lee and lara dutta...
