The only formula that the Philippines seems to have in their bag of tricks is crowning half white women. This worked for them in 2015 and 2018. They have tried again in 2022 by crowning another half white girl that was not even born in the Philippines. She grew up in Italy and only moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry. Additionally, Catriona failed to make a splash in the Australian pageant scene, so she also moved to the Philippines. It would appear that the Philippines should start crowning their own women rather than foreigners. This is not sending a healthy message. The fearless forecast is predicting that Celeste will not even come close to the crown.

Look who is talking in your avatar and you have the audacity to make such statement. Fyi, the Philippine pageantry has been crowning pure Filipinas for many years resulted in 2 Miss Universe winners who are pure Filipinas. They dont discriminate women who want to fulfill their dreams in pageantry unlike your ideology. Half-breed or native, as long you have all the qualities, you can win MUP. Celeste was born in Pasay but moved to Italy when she was a child. You should watch her interview before you spew garbage. YOu should go back to your cave because you are not evolving and stop with your rubbish analysis. Grow up because people are evolving and cross-breeding with different cultures and races but no one wants to breed you because of how you look.![]()

Correct your facts. She was born in the Philippines and after few months, she and her mother flew to Italy.

Celeste was even competed at Miss Italia regional qualifiers before she won Miss Philippines-Earth Italy pageant in 2018.

riverrobles wrote:I beg to disagree, the rules of the MUPh is not discriminatory as what you described. The minimum requirement is just be a Filipino citizen.
As long as she has a Philippine passport she is legally a Filipino citizen hence she can represent the Philippines.
A 100% black person can be a Filipino citizen if she has a Philippine passport.
A 100% white person can be a Filipino citizen if she has a Philippine passport.
A 100% brown person can be a Filipino citizen if she has a Philippine passport.
A 100% yellow person can be a Filipino citizen if she has a Philippine passport.
Hence a halfie, just like Celeste Corttesi can be a Filipino citizen if she has a Philippine passport. She has a Philippine passport therefore she is Filipino citizen.
It is legal just like in USA, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Bolivia and the Carribean, North American and Latin American countries that the candidates are really not the indigenous first inhabitants of the land but are halfies because of colonization and migration. It is basically what is happening in the Philippines. In the USA, it is majority white but try sending a 100% Native American then and lets see your point .
