Will South Africa bounce back from a shocking non-placement?

Postby ajsy0203 » Thu Nov 11, 2021 1:33 pm

After the shocking exclusion of Natasha Joubert in the Top 21 (but some of the forumers pointed out that her preliminary gown costed her the placement) at 69th Miss Universe last May, do you think Lalela Mswane will make a redemption for South Africa at Miss Universe and possibly first double sandwich victory since Demi-Leigh Nel Peters won in 2017 and Zozibini Tunzi in 2019 despite the pressures from grandson of former President Nelson Mandela?

Ikaw talaga .
There’s nothing shocking about the non inclusion of Natasha Joubert .
She’s aunty-ish .
Her tacky gown is atrocious .
And her hideous double lower lip when she smiles is an abomination .

I remember the mighty valleriam saying she’s the face of Miss Universe 2020 pageant. Ha ha
And unbreakable picking her as the winner .
People here were blinded by her sash .
I wasn’t .
I guess I was the only one who zoomed her face. Ha ha

Some of the pageant pages still claimed that Natasha was robbed of a Top 21 spot because they think that Natasha was a threat to the crown and a historic 3 wins in 4 years scenario at Miss Universe.

This an opinion from pageant blogger Alvin Sebetero and even tagged all the 8 judges to prove why she was missed out in the Top 21 despite they claimed that Natasha's performance was "flawless" even though some of the forumers pointed out that her old fashioned gown possibly costed her the crown:

he most shocking and the most mysterious non-placement in the history of pageants ever.

I mean literally, weeks after the pageant, I STILL COULDN'T FIND ANY REASON FOR NATASHA NOT MAKING IT EVEN IN THE TOP 21.

Don't get me wrong...
I respect the choice of the judges...

BUT WHY?
WHY??????

As what I have said, we are moving on with a broken heart but it is so hard to move on without finding any reason for this amazing woman not to place.

Having said that,
I am tagging all the judges in the hopes that we could be enlightened in a way. It is a impossible but we're hoping to get answers soon.

Oh please .

Alvin Sebetero ?

:%)) :%)) :%))

=;)) =;)) =;))

Ok sure .
I’ll bite .
It was obviously a very different playing field .
Nobody saw it coming ...that Tele Mundo took over the judging .

Everybody has an opinion to what happened.
And anybody can make a theory to what transpired... Alvin Sebetero included .

Here’s my take .
Since it’s a cooking show ...to win the crown you have to be flawless especially for powerhouses like Venezuela, Philippines , South Africa.
To be flawless was impossible .
Nobody had the presence of Oxana Federova , Catriona Gray etc

With Zuleyka around ... it’s no surprise that Venezuela was axed early on . We all know Venezuela and Puerto Rico are bitter rivals .
South Africa also took a hit because like I said ... she’s aunty-ish, she wore a forgettable gown and her hideous double lower lip when she smiles .
Sure they might have intentionally dropped her like a hot potato to make sure that there’s no back to back win for her country but it can be justified .

Philippines was lucky making the first cut .
But so many were saying that Rabiya should have advanced further .

Maybe why Misso admins did not chose Natasha as the wildcard for Timeless Beauty and they chose Bianca?

I don't think Natasha's gown was the problem(it was a standout in fact) or bad performance. I think she clapped because they sent a 3rd place girl to Miss Universe after they've just given SA two crowns and one runner-up. It probably irked them a little!

Unfortunately, Natasha shared the same fate as Marelisa Gibson!

Miss Universe will never let another country win for the third time in a such a short period. Remember how Ly, Dayana and Stefania dominated in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and how Marelisa was suddenly left out.

They didn't want that to happen for South Africa after Demi, Tamaryn and Zozi effortlessly crushed most girls during 2017, 2018 and 2019 editions.

NATASHA WAS EXCLUDED IN THE FIRST CUT OF THE COMPETITION BECAUSE MUO WASNT HAPPY SENDING A 2nd R-UP TO THEIR PAGEANT INSTEAD OF A WINNER (AND NOT EVEN A 1ST RUNNER-UP)
