Will an Asian win to stand against #AsianHate crimes

Pageantry is not all glitz and glamour. We all know political affairs are intertwined with it one way or another.

Recently, there is heightened interest about Asian hate crimes happening in the US and to bring some spotlight to this region, are we seeing Asian girls landing in the Top 5.

What do you think?

This year's edition of Ms U might see this happen once again. A host of Asian delegates usually come tightly prepared as compared to their European or African sisters. It's no wonder then some of the consistent Asian performers will land in the semis and the magic circle of 3 or 5 girls in the finals.

I just hope that Kagandahang Flores will field more international candidates for Miss Universe in May. Aces and Queens obviously will only have one under their tutelage because of their own MUP franchise. Remember the batch of Pia, Miss Indonesia was under KF and she placed in the semifinalist. Thus, Kagandahang Flores can have presence on all beauty pageants if they want to.

It may or may not happen. But you know, Miss Universe is a genius organization. They have at least a dozen scenarios planned out that would still click to the public. If they could pull over a 2015 scandal, they can do anything! Miss USA (a black woman) may win, so that Kim (an Asian-American) will take over the Miss USA title, and both of them (a black and an Asian American) will be working together in NY. That's another scenario we can think of, right? Or a European may win, so that the three sisters (Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA who is Asian) will cover much of the world's racial demography.

Anything is a possibility. If KF trained girls failed to win MUP title due to biases under the new ownership. They can trained other international queens for Miss Universe and Miss World. And if the girls can win it. The rest is history.

What about the judges score composed of famous people with different demographics? Are their analysis also towards IMG or MUO? Remember always, there's still judges analysis that the candidates should always charms because their decisions are so mighty and powerful. And there's the accounting firm who tallies the result so I don't think MUO can meddle with the outcome.

MUO used or exploited the "black lives matter" which gave us a grand slamm of black winners.

Thus, I don't see any reason why they will not do the same with the current anti Asian pandemic happening now.

I'm pretty sure IMG would love to jump on the #StopAsianHate bandwagon but the venue is Miami so I'm thinking they'd pick a Latina this time to pander to the audience

if it's Asian I cannot think of anybody else other than Thailand she's just head and shoulders above her Asian counterparts

They might go for an Oriental looking Asian and not a white passing eurasian. Myanmar and Cambodia will be the ultimate PR magnet they can get. One is an articulate spokesperson while the other is from a country under civil unrest.

too early to tell, though i have to say Asian region is coming in stronger than ever! i mean, not just the usual SEA girls who place (Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia) are strong, but also the newbies and the underdogs such as Myanmar, whos very vocal about the political situation in her country, Cambodia with her good transformation and formidable speaking skills, then we have Laos, who can be the face of the entire Asian region and Vietnam who has a commanding stage presence.

I honestly don't think MUO is too hung up on the Asian hate crimes.

If another Asian wins this year, it's because the Asian delegates are strong. Adline and Rabiya leading the pack by a large margin. I have a bone to pick with Thailand after that they publicly announced how many outfits and accessories she's bringing to the competition. Girl stop - that's some fake shit! Who cares how many outfits. Those outfits won't fix her nose and droopy lifeless eyes!!!! She looks terrible.
