Miss Canada is very angry bcoz the black image exactly looks like her...

Anyway, Blackface is very offensive to the Black/ persons with color community.
When I first saw this picture, I felt like more on "Black is Gold, Black is Powerful!".
I didn't get the hate on this picture.

Honestly - that's okay! If we use situations like this as an opportunity for a learning experience, and learn how to do better, that would be a very good thing. That's why I'm grateful for conversations like this because we can all take away something from them and expand our minds. Even me myself, I had my previously-held view that "blackface is universally regarded as offensive in every corner of the globe" challenged, and I've come away with the understanding that different cultures have different views on the issue. I still don't think it's appropriate for someone with an international platform to take blackface photos, however it helped shape my understanding on the issue in a global perspective. We can all learn something and expand our awareness, and not knowing is okay if you're open to learning.

I still can't get why this is an issue!
I am sad on seeing black people being discriminated , but I am also confused why they are making small things like this a "BIG" one.
It's like every action is always against black people, making themselves look pitiful. Why they see this as a negative one?
I see this picture showing "Empowering Black Color, they are GOLD!" , anyways, we cannot please people.

BTW, here you are airing grievances about how black people have been historically mistreated and ridiculed, and in the same breath, you arrogate unto yourself the power to stop me from talking because Black people are telling me to do so? Do you realize how your statement is racist? No way. I did not surrender my individual rights to you or to other people, whether they're black, white, or brown. Go back to your safe space if you can't handle frank and honest conversation.

Likewise some dark tribes use white body paint, should we inform them too that it may offend a white person?
I guess if you have the same theory for one thing it should go with all.
Lots of Asians find it offensive for people in the West to claim and act like they care about human rights yet use clothes manufactured by Asian slavery. So will you stop wearing the clothes on ya back because it's offensive to others?
People should practice what they preach and not be a on sided waste of space.

I'm sorry, BLM is the opposite of peaceful. BLM protesters resort to looting, arson, mayhem, assault and murder of law enforcement officers, destruction of public property, etc... It does not matter what BLM's objective is because the end does not justify the means. Even now, BLM leaders insist that police departments should be completely defunded.
But here you are horrified by one model appearing in black face, and at the same time offering excuses for the real, actual, horrific crimes of BLM.

The honest conversation here is that blackface is racist, point blank and period. How is that so hard to understand?
You can feel how you want to feel and that's fine. But again, black people are telling YOU that it IS racist yet you're going on with some rant nobody asked for about free speech or whatever.
Nobody cares about you, this is not about you nor about your freedom of speech. What you're doing is basically denying what these people feel and they are the first concerned about it. They tell you it's offensive, what is it that you need to get it.
Sit down and LISTEN. Blackface is racist and we've been aware of that for a long time. But hey, I guess you needed to hear it just like Bianca needed to hear it. [/b][/size]

I just wonder, why you insist that we all accept that blackface is racist, irrespective of our cultural and historical experience. At the same time, you are in complete denial about the evil that BLM represents.
What harm did Miss Romania's blackface cause? Maybe your feelings were hurt, or your self esteem was affected.
What harm did Nova's BLM cause? Whole city blocks burned and looted, old ladies in wheelchairs assaulted; small businesses destroyed; and cops murdered. Nova endorses BLM, but is offended by Miss Romania's blackface. Clearly, her sense of reality is warped.

Bianca might not do it on purpose to degrade black people, but she forgets that she is now a public figure and must be careful in all her undertakings specially when it comes to racism issues. Not all people will be understanding and forgiving, we are all different, she and her team should at least be sensitive enough on the repercussions of their actions. Blackface has a grim history and you cannot tell them to just accept it and be strong when the time comes they are being discriminated purposely or even accidentally.

This statement would make more sense if Blacks enslaved, whipped, or tortured Caucasians.
