NEWS FLASH ✨ | Model Halima Aden made waves a few days back when she said she would be the first Miss Somalia in the Miss Universe pageant. It was never confirmed if it would be the 2020 edition, though. Now all the speculations can finally be put to rest, she will join the 2024 edition (when she’s 27 years old). All the best, Halima!

Realizing the reaction of national directors who paid lots of money for the Miss Universe franchise this year,
Halima's PR team had no choice but to publicize her intention clearly to prevent complaints and mass exodus of license holders.

She needs to join and compete in their local pageant first in Miss Somalia Universe then win it before she comes on board in Miss Universe. You can't just announce at your own convenience in whatever social platform in the world there is that I will be at the Miss Universe pageant as a contestant. Even some of the Miss USA winners have tried 5 times in their state pageant before they won and represented Miss USA. Some will cross over to another state after failing competing from their original state. Being a contestant in the Miss Universe is not a silver platter that will be given to you in your face. You need to work hard on it. Please don't buy me illusion, imagination or delusion for the longest period of time. There's so many of it here in the pageant world. HA HA HA HA. I don't know if MUO will allow someone to buy the franchise so she'll have representation at the Miss Universe competition or in the case of MUP with their franchise on hand, can just choose or elect a contestant to be sent and represent The Philippines without holding a pageant contest. That's why personally, I like the pageant world. It adds spice to someone's life like me because of its twist and turn but every contestant will put her foot forward no matter what and its just amazing how they'll prove to the whole world that they are really relevant in our lives.
