Miss Universe Chile is going to be in September in a venue yet to be announced. Twenty-five contestants from all over the country are expected to join in the competition. Geraldine González of Conchalí will crown her successor at the end of the event

From 2020-onwards the Swimsuit competition will be replaced by an Athletic Wear competition

Just like Miss Teen USA!

SELECTION PROCESS

(this schedule might change because of Covid-19)

First, the top 25 applicants will compete online for the entire month of August in different challenges from styling and walk to speaking and q&a on Instagram and zoom.⁣
⁣
Then, from that top 25, 5 finalists will be chosen - 4 best from the online phase plus the People's Choice winner. They will take part in the live finals on September

From those 5, the winner will be chosen to represent Chile at Miss Universe 2020 (plus one representative to a pageant yet to be announced)

The no swimsuit thing is so stupid, especially since swimsuit is not going anywhere at Miss Universe. It is counterproductive. I would rather just an interview and evening gown instead of replacing swimsuit with active wear.

I agree Anahi has to join this contest, she is a Miss Universe in the making. This group has a lot of potential, like Anita :hx

La Florida - her walk needs some work and her main thing from what I have seen is Tik Tok but she is my favorite. Stunning

Also, I am confused to why Geraldine did not place at Miss Universe, I think both Anita y Daniela have a shot but that concerns me. Sash is real to some degree, there is no way Thalia Olvino performed better than Geraldine, yet she makes it? What an injustice.

I am in LOVE with Copiapó.

If she wins this, I would want to believe that she would stand a chance at Miss Universe. But sash factor is just becoming more entrenched there.

Chile really needs to send a COMPLETE girl, I feel like no matter how great the girl they send is, the sash factor will prevent them from making it, especially with Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil in South America alone!

Copiapó really has to win. I feel like Latin America isn't that strong this year so far, there are a lot of openings, and I could see Copiapó going far at Miss Universe.

Copiapó, Daniela Nicolás won!!!!!!! I love her, I have no idea how she walks or speaks in English but she is a threat! Gorgeous and so well spoken in Spanish, maybe the best Latina so far

Her walk needs some work for sure, but I believe in her! But this active wear round is so stupid, especially when she will be competing in swimsuit at Miss Universe. What also looks stupid is that they were wearing heals with this not sneakers, so unnatural, they should pick one or the other!
