Worst is being an ugly Pinoy dreaming of being beautiful and depending on foreign candidates to appear decent looking. You're not fooling anybody! :%)) >:)

Depending on foreign candidates?
It was not PH that sent a Colombian and Half Dominican/Half Dutch to Miss Universe.
The last time I know it was from a random Caribbean Island where their beauty queens proclaim themselves to be proud Boricuas but carry US passports. =;)) =;)) =;))

And yet, they can’t vote. Americans that don’t count. The irony! :%))

Is THE FLOP dead? =;))

As dead as the personality and stage presence of that fake Puerto Rican 40-year-old Caucasian candidate from Florida with the equally fake Hispanic last name. :%))

No sure how her last name is fake given it is her mother's last name, she has two last names like many multicultural children. In states like FL you can hypenated (Anderson-Berrios) or interchange them (which is what she does). Unless you have her birth certificate you are simply speaking conjecture with no proof. Plenty of latino descendant children use both last names even if they were register with one. Catriona uses both her last names sometimes, and in Australia you can either have 1 last name or hypenate 2. So if her Magnayon last name fake to you too or is it only with ricans? When you disrespect someone's identity remember you are doing the same to your girl

Um, Catriona NEVER passed off her mother’s maiden name as her surname or last name. EVERY time Magnayon was used, it was always followed by Gray, making it clear that Gray was her last name. No hyphenation done, either — and if she were to do it (“Magnayon-Gray”), that would be fine because it would still be understood that she was not pretending to have a Filipino last name by switching the two (to “Gray-Magnayon”). And it was not like she changed her last name only to not be a fake Filipino at some beauty pageant: she had the same first and last names from the time she entered the local pageant Miss World Philippines to the time she competed internationally at Miss Universe. Could anyone say the same thing about this “fake Puerto Rican?” Don’t think so.

Catriona also NEVER did any convenient, arbitrary switching between Australia and the Philippines. She did not EXPLOIT her dual background just so she could engage in CARPETBAGGING. She could have competed again at Miss World and other pageants using Australia, but she was true to what she wanted to represent: It was consistently the Philippines — from the get-go. So unlike some candidate who’ll take advantage of representing whatever just so she could keep joining pageants. Her goal is not to represent her “country,” but to just keep joining pageants so she’ll have more chances of winning, or getting recognized, whatever... Couldn’t even wait for a year to pass. Obviously completely legal. :=p But not ethical...

The only reason why Madison went to MUPR was because her fans kept BLASTING her IG after she became 1st Runner Up in Miss FL USA, telling her to compete in MUPR. Just like how Catriona's fans kept blasting her IG to compete in Binibining Pilipinas so that she can compete in Miss Universe. And guess what? both of them listened to their fans, competed in their respective pageants and won. So stop dragging down Madison while praising Catriona at the same time, when they have a lot of things in common.

I did not praise Catriona. I simply corrected the misimpression The Duchess, who was the one that dragged Catriona's name in this discussion to begin with, was spreading. [-X It was The Duchess as well that dragged her into such a comparison, which is quite ridiculous given how Catriona was so unlike this "fake" representative when she competed.

Nope. The auntie-looking fake Puerto Rican is simply a carpetbagger.

The MUPR crown should have been given to a real Puerto Rican. Her reign is an injustice to legitimate candidates in the recent search.

Nobody "dragged" Catriona into anything, Somebody told you how poeple with multiple last names and mixed background utilize last names in various ways... if you don't like it then I suggest you speak to Australian and American goverments into not allowing people to have more than one last name. And I better not find one instance in which Catriona Gray used only her paternal last name and not her asian one.

A person who isn't biracial/bicultural has any right to impose an identity on somebody; you sound just as ignorant as people who tell biracial kids they are either black or white or those who tell trans people they are ilegitimate. It's 2019, cultural diversity is a thing, get with the times.
