Congrats Puerto Rico.
A job well done .
I’m so happy .

Carolina was robbed.
And I really don't understand and it doesn't make sense to me that the queen of a spanish speaking country doesn't speak spanish. How is she going to connect with her people? When she's not rehearsed, she really can't deliver.
At least she is GORGEOUS and I'm pretty sure she will be in the top 5 at Miss Universe.

i beg to differ. she was stellar in everything else besides the spanish part (she has been trying though) and that part will not make a bit of difference in international competition, So therefore she won't sound rehearsed. Furthermore, she has already connected with so many people, globally even, as most of us expected her to win. I expect that she will continue to brush up on her Spanish from here on out.
I'll give you the example of our goddess, queen Cat, who i don't think speaks a whole lot of the filipino language. Just look at her fans, though -- she is definitely connected...like super glue.

She messed up her question and then admitted her Spanish is 2nd basically saying 'Guys I'm not actually from here,' got boo'd majorly by the crowd and still got the crown. If that's not a cooking show then what is it?
Nice coral gown though. But I won't be rooting for her in Miss Universe at all.

PLEASE DON'T COMPARE CAT WITH MADISON JUST TO PROVE YOU'RE RIGHT!

While Miss Universe eliminate a previous round’s scores in each round, MUPR seems to consider all rounds plus pre-pageant. I prefer the latter format because 2-3 hour show doesn’t really represent the girl. For instance, Stefany would have never made it over H’hen nie and Kiara had it been not for a question round. That’s where I love Miss World’s criteria too.

Anyways, as long as either Camuy or her wins PR will be STRONG at Miss Universe.

Problem is, she got booed before answering the question, she said "Sorry, spanish is not my first language. Can you repeat the question? and out of nowhere people started booing her for no reason. It was stupid and borderline racist towards Madison. The OWNER of the Channel was sitting in the judging panel and Spanish is his second language as well. Also the Q&A this year was probably the most disastrous in the history of MUPR. Most of the questions were relatively easy yet the girls were so damn nervous all the time.

Nina, I'm sorry to tell you this but Puerto Rico just pulled a Philippines... crowned a white-washed foreigner who can barely speak the local language.
It will be entertaining at least come Miss Universe time!
