As most people are already aware, the social cause that I am focusing on as @missuniverseireland is women’s health issues. As a nurse and an advocate of women’s health, I feel very privileged that the organiser of this event, Michelle Doherty of Mamogs has asked me to attend and I am extremely excited that I will be a guest speaker. It will be held at the Sligo Park Hotel, on 16th September from 11am until 5pm and is free to attend. The day will focus on pregnancy and family wellbeing. It is a day to showcase services that support and provide for pregnancy, birth and the early years of family life. It is free to attend and anyone is welcome.

Love what Brittany has to say around 0:36 in. She's such a great national director.
I wonder could we see the MUO in Dublin one day ?
One of the most important parts of being a Queen and part of the Miss Universe Organisation is giving back to communities across the world. Since MOXIE Media Productions took over the Irish competition in May 2017, we wanted to emphasise this and bring the work that our Queens and contestants do more to the forefront of the organisation. As an organisation we have made a pledge to raise awareness and help fund raise for social causes in Ireland. Our team of international experts coach at our Workshops and each competing contestant individually to help develop her platform. The winning Queen will then spend her year as an ambassador for her chosen charity, helping to raise awareness and funding. The Miss Universe Ireland Organisation has also made a promise to dedicate our annual Final Show to the Queen’s charity by donating proceeds raised from the event. After our show, we made our donation to our 2017 Queen Cailin Tobin chosen charity, Pieta House. Please join us today by making your own contribution at www.pieta.ie/donate, we are so excited to continue our work for Irish charities especially this year’s women’s health initiative with our 2018 Queen.
Thank you for your support!

Oh and Ian do you know if Ireland has qualified for two consecutive years at Miss Universe?

Are there private companies or businesses in Ireland willing to raise $ 11 million dollars or more to sponsor the staging of Miss Universe pageant?

Nurse and women’s health advocate Grainne addresses the current issues about women’s healthcare and urges women to still make health screening a priority in their own lives. Thank you Anna Daly & Women's Inspire Network for allowing us to use this platform to speak about women’s healthcare in Ireland.
