Castries, 15th June, 2012: President of the Miss Universe St. Lucia pageant Joan Johnson has announced that auditions for the Miss Universe/Miss World St. Lucia pageant will be held on Sunday June 24, 2012 from 1 – 5 pm, at the Bay Gardens Hotel. The auditions are open to all St. Lucian females ages 18 – 26 who have at least attained CXC qualifications and who think they have what it takes to be St. Lucia’s representative to the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants.
Candidates should walk with a pair of heels, a cocktail dress and a two piece swimsuit. They can expect to be interviewed by a panel of distinguished judges, and to model in both cocktail dress and swimsuit.
The registration fee is $25.00. The local pageant for Miss Universe St. Lucia will be held in August of this year. The winner will represent St. Lucia at the Miss Universe pageant in December. The first runner up from the competition will represent St. Lucia in the Miss World pageant, also later this year.
