The Rise of the Philippines

Postby The Duchess » Wed Mar 15, 2017 4:16 am

Okay so, as many as you know I am the Duchess and I have been on this website since whatever day Miss World happened.

I will like to make a post, possibly a mini series around the history of Philippines in Beauty Pageants focusing on its sudden rise since 2010 in most (if not all) pageants since for me it is an extremely interesting phenomenon.

NOW, what do I want from you people? I want to hear from you and even help me out a little.

Please answer the following, I want to hear your opinion.

1) What do you think Miss ________________ (insert as many pageants as you are prepared to answer) looks for in a contestant to win said pageant? With the Miss Universe you can answer in PreIMG and IMG era.

2) To what do you attribute Philippines sudden rise and success in International Pageants?

3) What do you think _______________ (insert winner of any pageant) won that particular pageant?

4) To what do you attribute Philippines' famous "15 Year Clapping Streak" from 1995-2010 (with the exception of 1999 of course)?

5) Do you expect that the reign of Philippines will end soon? Why or Why not?

6) What would you like to see from this thread?

Now I am not sure exactly when I can post this because imma need graphics and alooot of writting. But lets have a conversation.

Grab a drink, bitches!

It sounds weird you are interested in the Philippines. Why not write an interesting insight focusing on your island Puerto Rico on how it won Miss world 2016 and How to make her reign memorable to people despite of... L-)

Be wary! Don't incriminate yourself. Taunting resonates!

Anything and everything said in contravention to the norm could be used against you later on!

If you bite, you'd be gullible! No one wants to be goaded, nor be baited, and be outmaneuvered in the end!

Think first before you click.

I AM MORE INTERESTED TO THE RISE OF PUERTO RICO AS COMMONWEALTH OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...

THE RISE OF THE PHILIPPINES HAS BEEN SEALED AND ACCEPTED BY THE AMERICANS LAST JULY 4, 1946.
PHILIPPINES HAS BEEN A COMMONWEALTH OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FROM 1935 to 1946.

QUESTION: IS THERE A CHANCE FOR PUERTO RICO TO BE CALLED A 'COUNTRY'? WHY AND WHY NOT?

Wow... my post flew right through all ya'll head, didn't?

You guys are so invested I pinoy vs rican rivalry that some other Puertorrican started so automatically my actual interest in one of the most interesting phenomenons in pagentry is completely invalid? Are you guys so paranoid that you think everyone is out to get you?. Absolutely ridiculous and quite childish to be completely honest.

1) Why my face? =;))

2) I don't anybody to be nice to me, I aint a 100$ bill. I would like you to be adults but apparently is too much to ask.

3) Theres no real mistery behind the fall of PR in pageantry, brings me no interest.

4) Yes. Theres was a LOOONG set of contestants that didnt make the cut, which is what made the Venus Raj placement such a huge deal.

5) I can do this by myself, don't you all worry. Although I want absolutely not one of you petty bitches when I actually post =;))

Even if what you're trying to achieve is legit, for all intent and purposes, you cannot control what people have in their thoughts and how they want to say it to you. You are in a public forum and cannot expect everyone to reply to your questions they way you want them to.

Pettiness or seriousness, is but part of self-preservation. Or, rather part of the Misso culture. You seem to have forgotten that already!

You mean the rest of this forum has forgotten what this forum was built for back when one could hold a conversation without recieving pure venom? When people would post things of quality like tributes, contest, articleish things, stories and much more than that. When you could proudly say I'm from X or Y country without getting you and your country attack because of shit that somebody else started.

This forum is for pageantry not politics or internet wars. This was a place where people could come to and feel like they could hold a conversation with someone. They even had to start giving Seals of Excelence to motivate people to post quality content and moderators cant even keep up with the amount of hate in here.

So dont talk to me about expecting anything for haters, I shouldnt get backlash like this just because people are too paranoid or aggresive to sit down a say "Coño, maybe she doesnt have the mind of a 12 year old and actually wants to add some content to this forum"

Yeah i guess its too much to ask for people to learn how to read and analize what it is presented to them in this forum, lets just all see PR flags and insult without asking. They are basing a thread because their brains interpreted that if a forumer has a PR flag and are even mentioning Philippines, it must be sarcasm and hating. Its not my problem they don't know how to read and interpret, those are the real victims not me. And that aint heat, thats highschool bullshit type words of people who are not even posting an opinion; just posting hate and ridiculousness. I'm not planning on controlling anybody, alrevez if you want to look like a person who did not read properly (not you, them) then thats your perogative do not expect me to talk as if it is right or even mature or intelligent to jump on a woman because of the flag that she is wearing just because in your brain you conected with something else.

Re: The Rise of the Philippines

Postby Kerkeloo » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:14 pm

1) What do you think Miss ________________ (insert as many pageants as you are prepared to answer) looks for in a contestant to win said pageant? With the Miss Universe you can answer in PreIMG and IMG era.
Universe; Grace, Confidence, and Substance
World; Compassion to serve others, Someone who has her own idea in bettering the world (platform)
International; Intelligence, Grace, Someone who is able to adapt in other cultures (esp Japan's)
Earth; Someone that shows true concern to mother earth, ability to communicate their own platform

Beauty is given for all

2) To what do you attribute Philippines sudden rise and success in International Pageants?

Preparations, and support from beauty pageant addicts (that started the beauty camps in the PH)

3) What do you think _______________ (insert winner of any pageant) won that particular pageant?

all our queens in my opinion are pretty deserving. They came prepared to the pageants they competed in and aced every rounds of the competition.

4) To what do you attribute Philippines' famous "15 Year Clapping Streak" from 1995-2010 (with the exception of 1999 of course)?

no answer because the Philippines didn't have a 15 year clapping streak.

5) Do you expect that the reign of Philippines will end soon? Why or Why not?

No, because we still have full supports from beauty camps and other people in the industry supporting our future queens.

6) What would you like to see from this thread?

Love and not hate.

:-@

Don't lecture me on what or what-not to expect from others in the forum. And don't play as if you are the victim here. I'm here in the forum longer than most. And I know the history of how this forum has become.

If you didn't like the rebuke, then obviously you failed to appreciate where you were when you dissed your piece. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, pronto! Take it or leave it, that's how I felt about the whole thing.

Dear Lord! I don't look at forumers' handle nor the flag origin under their names. I can care less. Sorry to burst your bubble but that's not the way I look at threads in the forum. I look at the larger picture and not personalities hugging the by-lines. Anyways, I see no reason to explain any further.

Kerkeloo wrote:1) What do you think Miss ________________ (insert as many pageants as you are prepared to answer) looks for in a contestant to win said pageant?

Actually you may be right i thought it was only 1999 where you guys had a cut but there may be another cut which is no big deal it just modifies one of the chapters to study. Uts actually suppose to serve as a compararision between that streak and the one you guys are having now. Which mean incredible improvement but it may be less than 15 years which is why everyone shouldve help instead of throwing a tantrum
