LETS GO BACK IN HISTORY................
Although the Island of Jamaica has never won the coveted Miss Universe crown,the country has managed to perform satisfactorily.With a track record of producing winners at the Miss world beauty pageant Jamaica still lacks that one Miss universe crown.Is 2012 the year for their first crown?I will give my verdict later...
JAMAICA'S FIRST PLACEMENT CAME IN 1989 WHEN THE STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL SANDRA MAE FOSTER WOWED THE JUDGES IN CANCUN MEXICO DURING THE PRELIMINARIES AND WON A SPOT AMONG THE TOP 10 SEMIFINALIST.SHE WAS THE FACE OF THE PAGEANT.TWO YEARS LATER SANDRA REPRESENTED JAMAICA AT THE MISS WORLD BEAUTY PAGEANT AND MADE HISTORY AGAIN BY PLACING 3RD RUNNER UP IN 1991.AND IN 1990 SHE WON THE THE MISS INTERCONTINENTAL BEAUTY PAGEANT.
JAMAICA'S SECOND PLACEMENT AT MISS UNIVERSE CAME IN 1991 WHEN THE FAMOUS SUPER MODEL KIMBERLEY MAIS CREATED HISTORY FOR JAMAICA BY PLACING 5TH IN LAS VEGAS VEVADA.KIMBERLEY WAS FORMERLY A MODEL IN JAPAN AND AROUND EUROPE.SHE GRACED THE COVERS OF MANY MAGAZINES AND WON THE SUPER MODEL OF THE WORLD CONTEST.
JAMAICA'S THIRD PLACEMENT CAME ABOUT IN 1999 IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO WHEN NICOLE HAUGHTON MADE TOP 10.PREVIOUSLY NICOLE WAS 1ST RUNNER UP AT MISS JAMAICA WORLD 1998.
JAMAICA'S FOURTH PLACEMENT CAME IN 2004 WHEN THE LOVELY CHRSITINE RENNE STRAW TOOK THE WORLD BY STORM AND STRUT HER STUFF IN QUITO ECUADOR.SHE WAS INSTANT FAVORITE BY THE MEDIA THAT YEAR.CHRISTINE WAS PLACED 6TH OVERALL.HOWEVER, BEFORE ENTERING THE MISS UNIVERSE BEAUTY PAGEANT CHRISTINE WON THE MISS JAMAICA WORLD BEAUTY PAGEANT AND WENT ON TO PLACE 6TH AT THE MISS WORLD PAGEANT IN 1998.
JAMAICA'S FIFTH PLACEMENT CAME IN 2010 WHEN THE SEXY AND VIVACIOUS YENDI PHILLIPS WOWED THE JUDGES IN LAS VEGAS NEVADA WHERE SHE WAS PLACED 1ST RUNNER UP.SHE WENT INTO THE TOP 5 WITH THE HIGHEST SCORES.SHE MADE HER COUNTRY PROUD BY COPPING THE HIGHEST PLACEMENT OF ANY JAMAICAN AT ONE OF THE MOST COMPETITIVE EDITIONS OF MISS UNIVERSE.BEFORE MISS UNIVERSE YENDI WAS PLACED AMONG THE TOP 10 AT MISS WORLD 2007.SHE WAS ALSO PLACED 1ST RUNNER UP IN THE BEACH BEAUTY COMPETITION.

Chantal is a exotic mixed race girl that hails from the shores of port antonio,portland in Jamaica.She is a water baby like one of her predecessor Christine straw.Chantal has the international appeal and would make a good impression on the judges during the preliminaries.Her best assest is her face.Her major flaw is her thick legs.But this can be toned in two weeks.

Amanda is a charismatic mixed race beauty from kingston Jamaica, the capital.She is fresh and walk effortless on stage.she has an enigmatic smile which captivates any room.Her major flaws are that she is a bit inexperience with pageants and could be beaten by more experienced girls.Also, she is flat chested and this could pose a major problem if she competes internationally.A boob job would do her justice that is if she is serious about doing well in pageants..

Crystal is a beautiful dark skinned model from kingston.With her experience os the catwalk she has the advantage over all the girls.but her lack of confidence sometimes makes her fade in the background.She has major potential and should be trained for several months if jamaica wishes to capitalize on her talents.

Danesha has the best body i have seen in pageantry in a long time.But her face is just not up to par.she needs to get better styling inorder to bring off her face.If she can get the styling right then she could be seen during the preliminaries.But her look is more suited for the runway.
