To some of you guys I saw ALL of them today in person & I'm telling you that the crown is between Arroyo & Arecibo (they might not be the most photogenic of them all, buy they hace EVERYTHING to win & represent us) then Cayey & Mayaguez.
Now on Orocovis is not that shes ugly, shes beautiful when all dolled up, but after a while shes a mess, her make up looks dirty, her face is not that fresh, but shes still a beautiful lady, she has the overall package, but she ain't all that, the same with Bayamon, but shes not as pretty as Orocovis.
Lares is gorgeous as hell, but shes to skinny & looks unhealthy & like a teenager.
Amazingly stunning faces are: Las Piedras, Humacao & Toa Baja

So apperently, Desirée's favorite is Arecibo, while Telemundo's favorite is Orocovis.... This will be a bloody fight on August 29th. >:)

De quien no tiene un grado universitario, pero sabe un montón de la vida, se dice que estudió en la universidad de la calle. Algo similar se puede establecer en cuanto a las 32 candidatas a Miss Universe Puerto Rico (MUPR) 2013, con la diferencia de que a ellas no le aplica la calle, sino el mall.

Los nervios, la timidez y las metidas de pata que se observaron en la primera de las ocho estaciones del MUPR Mall Tour 2013, el pasado 12 de mayo en Plaza Las Américas, en Hato Rey, se esfumaron en el cierre, este sábado en ese centro comercial.

Con el segundo triunfo de Miss Universe Arroyo, Génesis Dávila (piernas hermosas), y el primero de Miss Universe Aguas Buenas, Angélica Vázquez (mejor receta), culminó este evento previo a la competencia preliminar, que será el próximo jueves 16 de agosto en el Teatro Ambassador, en Santurce, y la gala final, el miércoles 29 de agosto en el Centro de Bellas Artes de San Juan.

“El Mall Tour se ha destacado este año por ser una escuela para las niñas, además de permitirles el contacto directo con el público para que las vayan conociendo”, expresa la directora nacional del certamen, Desirée Lowry.

De hecho, los expertos en reinas de belleza Héctor Joaquín Colón y Alberto Ignacio González opinan que, al final, las “primerizas” en concursos han lucido igual o mejor que las que tienen más experiencia.

“Se han batido de tú a tú con las ‘recicladas’. Nos han demostrado que no hay que estar compitiendo en cinco y seis concursos para ofrecer una buena representación”, dijo Héctor Joaquín al resaltar el desempeño de Monic Pérez (Arecibo), Cristina Franceschini (Mayagüez) y Angélica Vázquez (Aguas Buenas).

Entre cocina y pasarela

Cientos de personas rodearon el sábado la minitarima ubicada frente a la tienda Guess en Plaza para presenciar cómo el arroz mamposteao de Angélica Vázquez le valió el título de la “Reina de Goya”.

Los gritos proliferaron, asimismo, cuando Miss Universe Arroyo, quien ya cargaba con el premio al mejor look de modelo, se alzó con las piernas más hermosas.

“Es algo que está en mi estructura morfológica, en mis genes. También corría mucha pista y campo y marcha”, dijo a Primera Hora la modelo de 19 años de edad acerca de sus piernas.

En la minitarima, las 32 concursantes se presentaron con los rostros cubiertos, de manera que la objetividad se salvaguardara al ser evaluadas por el panel de jueces, entre quienes se encontraron las periodistas de GFR Media Janet González Bolívar (Primera Hora) y Patricia Vargas (El Nuevo Día).

La de Arroyo venció a las finalistas de este reto: Canóvanas (Nicole de Jesús), Arecibo (Monic Pérez), Luquillo (Mariana Vega), Bayamón (Stephanie Román), Ponce (Catherine Irizarry), Orocovis (Amanda Ortiz), Yauco (Natalia Leyva), Mayagüez (Cristina Franceschini) y Cayey (Desirée del Río).

Se trata de un cuadro muy similar al de las favoritas de Héctor Joaquín Colón y Alberto Ignacio.

El momento “awkward”

Misael Nazario, conocido como “Mr. Cream Cheese to Fajardo”, tertulió por casi media hora con su candidata, Patricia Corcino, aunque su favorita es Ponce, Cathy Irizarry.

Miércoles 29 de agosto – Competencia final en el Centro de Bellas Artes de San Juan.
