I want to see Joanna Rabe and Ybonne Ortega to return - I hope the organization still recognizes them despite their withdrawal. Alexie reminds me of Cheslie and Zozibini, although I think she should have more experience. Not a fan of Emma and Diana, and I think Patricia and Ahtisa's intentions might not really be into it.Stoichio wrote:Who among these Wish-Miss will actually join?

Wittiness and communication skills are largely inherent. It's either you're quick on your feet or you're not. No amount of training or exposure to interviews can give you the gift of gab.
I'm being harsh here but let's face it, these girls will get us nowhere in terms of communication skills - Steffi Aberasturi, Emma Tiglao, Isabela Galeria, Jasmine Umali, Roxanne Baeyens, Roberta Tamandong, Diana Mackey.
Gorgeous face? Sure! No question about that. But for the love of god they can't SPEAK!

Sobra ka naman .
Antaas kaya ng literacy rate ng Pilipinas .
The reason why they hire pinoys abroad if because pinoys can speak in English .
It’s just confidence and exposure na rin , the educational attainment ( attended some college subjects ) , awareness sa current events and advocacy.
Advocacy is important kasi at least you’ve mastered a certain social issue .
And there’s an element of luck.
Like yung girl na hindi naka sagot sa Build Build Build question . She’s fluent in English kaso minalas .
If you watched the videos of these past 2 MUP pageants ... a vast majority of the girls ang gagaling sa interviewhan.

I'm talking about being able to listen actively, communicate effectively, and string together a coherent train of thought.
Let's take for example the dumb DDS Steffi Aberasturi - Her name has been circulating the pageant scene since, what, 2010? 2011? Each and every pageant she's joined, she has proven that she nothing to offer but beauty. No ability to comprehend questions and answer accordingly. FOR YEARS, her fans have been saying that she's been honing and training in this department yet what happened during the MUPH finals?
Passion = compassion
Social media = social awareness

You're either a good communicator or not. Nothing you can do to remedy that.Mess Pelepens wrote:ononymous wrote:Stop it with the "____ should just hone her communication skills" line.

Last year, it was Gerry Diaz who teased everyone via a not-so mystery post about Maureen Wroblewitz participation.
This year, he got some teasers again. Who could be that BIG CROSSOVER?
Is it Ahtisa or Bea Patricia?
I remember Patch saying she’s done with pageants.
Let’s not forget that the last 2 editions of MUP, the winners were FIRST TIMERS in the NATIONALS.
What fate awaits the repeaters or cross-overs if you will?
