From Kathmandu, Nepal, Anshika Sharma currently resides in Sydney (Australia). She works as a Sales Analyst professionally.
Brunette and dark brown eyes, stands 5 ft. 9 1⁄2 in. tall
Miss Nepal Universe 2017 Nagma Shrestha, National Director of Miss Universe Nepal, crowned the 24-year-old at an event held on December 30.

Impressing the judges with her answer to the question, ‘What is the one life lesson that you have learned after COVID-19 and its effects?’, she was able to take home the coveted crown.

Her winning answer was: “The one lesson that I have learnt after COVID-19 is always to be ready for all the challenges that life throws at you because life is uncertain. Also for the government and for the individuals, be economically prepared because COVID-19 has taught us that economy is so important that we need to always be aware and always secure our finances to be moving forward in life.”

Sharma won a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs and a chance to participate in the Miss Universe pageant among others.

Sharma, who calls herself an advocate for education and a go getter, also won the subtitle of Miss Fierce.

✤ Second Runner-Up - Nina Kant Mandal, a mental health advocate and professional model from Moscow, Russia.

✤ Fourth Runner-Up - Nancy Khadka from Biratnagar

Basnet also bagged Miss Lifestyle subtitle, Khadka was announced Miss Fabulous, while Mandal was chosen the winner of Brave, Bold, Beautiful Social Advocacy Winning Cause for her video on mental health.

The grand finale that saw Top 18 contestants on the stage was adjudged by a panel of judges comprising former Miss Nepal and media personality Malvika Subba, Anupama Khunjeli, CEO of Mega Bank Limited, actress Usha Rajak, Prerana Shah, international holistic health and transformation specialist, editor Charu Chadha, and rockstar Abhaya Subba.

The Top 10 were selected from Top 18, which was followed by the selection of Top 5 — based on judges’ selection and public votes. The grand finale also saw a swimsuit catwalk round where contestants sashayed the ramp in swimsuits.

This is the first time Miss Universe Nepal has been conducted as an independent event, separate from Miss Nepal.

Pageantry
For a few years Anshika has participated in local competitions and then represented Nepal in international events.
Anshika Sharma rose to fame when she was adjudged the 1st runner-up at the conclusion of "Miss Nepal Oceania 2020" held on 14th March 2020 in Australia.
Ever since missing on the crown by an inch, she has made it to the wishlist for every pageant fanatic to be a part of Miss Universe Nepal 2020.
Ever since Miss Nepal lost the franchise of Miss Universe Nepal, a separate pageant is surely the way to go.

Anshika was not just adjudged the 1st runner-up award but also won "Miss Public Choice" at the pageant.
Due to short gap between Miss Nepal 2020 auditions and COVID-19 outbreak, Anshika has short chances of making it to the pageant.
Thus, her chances of being a part of Miss Universe Nepal makes more sense.
With her success in her debut pageant and her stunning beauty, Anshika makes for an ideal candidate to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2020.

2020 has been a tragic year that has affected billions of people around the world. These are certainly unprecedented times for the entire world.
Many individuals have lost their jobs or become ill. Daily life has changed significantly as the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control has advised against large gatherings.
It's natural to feel out of control and worried over what's happening.

Pageantry is one of the many industry being hit by COVID-19 as our industry centers greatly on live events. This means you as a contestant may not be able to compete because your director has had to postpone or cancel this year's pageant. Your competition may look totally different than you had imagined if your pageant is now virtual. We feel for you and want to provide as many resources as possible in this time of chaos.

Miss World and Miss International pageants have been officially canceled. Given the high contagiousness of the disease and the epidemiology of COVID-19, this decision was appropriate and important in order to safeguard beauty queens and the public.

For the first time in history, Miss Earth crowned their new titleholders with a virtual coronation night on November 29, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miss Supranational and Miss Grand Intl. have been postponed and their respective directors have not said anything.
There is also no official information from WME/IMG talent agency, but the selection of national queens continues in their respective countries. Around 47 delegates have been selected because Miss Universe continues to be the largest pageant in the world in terms of live TV coverage, airing yearly in more than 190 countries worldwide to an audience of over 500 million people.

(´･ω･`) Miss Universe Myanmar 2020, the 8th edition of the pageant, was held tonight i.e. 30th December 2020 at Novotel Max Hotel, Yangon where Thuzar Wint Lwin of Hakha was crowned the new queen.
She succeeds Miss Universe Myanmar 2019 Swe Zin Htet and will now represent Myanmar in Miss Universe 2020.

Thuzar Wint Lwin, nicknamed Candy Thuzar, was a front-runner for the national crown ever since the beginning of the competition.
The 22-year-old stunner is a final year student in English from East Yangon University. She is a model by profession(´･ω･`)

This fantasy costume, made by Eduardo Cerda_Atelier, is inspired by ~La Pincoya~ an imaginary creature belonging to the Chilean mythology.

According to the said mythology, unlike a mermaid.
This beautiful creature appears like a beautiful woman in human form out from the depths of the sea dancing informing
everyone whether fishing will be scarce or abundant on that particular day.

MISS UNIVERSE KAZAKHSTAN 2020Kamilla Serikbay(´･ω･`)Miss Kazakhstan organization appointed Kamilla Serikbay as the new Miss Universe Kazakhstan 2020 who will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2020.
The announcement was made through Miss Kazakhstan’s official social media page (´･ω･`)

Kamilla is 18-years-old and studies at the “Suleiman Demirel University” with a degree in Applied Law. The organization feels that she has distinguished herself as she showcased the immense dedication and desire to help others, especially during the pandemic.
The new beauty queen has been engaged in Karate since childhood; master of sports.
Kamilla succeeds Miss Kazakhstan 2019 Madina Batyk for the title and is excited to take over the crown duties.

She became a UN Voluntary Ambassador and dedicated herself to working towards her dream (´･ω･`)

Kamilla is someone who believes in working hard and doing good for society.
She is young but her confidence and dedication towards representing her country on the international stage are highly appreciated. She believes:

The new Miss Universe Kazakhstan is grateful for the opportunity and the title was given to her by the organization and strongly believes that she will be able to perform her best on-stage and make the people of Kazakhstan proud.
She has started to prepare herself for the competition and is focusing on finessing her skills and abilities.
Kamilla also feels grateful for the opportunities she has received which have helped her to grow not only as a model but as a human being too.

Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 coronation cancelled
Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 was scheduled to be crowned in a carefully thought out and socially distanced selection day on Saturday, December 19 at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Heathrow, London.

Unfortunately, despite following safety guidelines amid the current pandemic situation, the event did not proceed as planned. None of the finalists who showed up went home with the national title.

In a social media post, the organizers said: “Very sadly, due to the current environment we are not able to crown the Miss Universe Great Britain 2020 delegate this evening. Thank you for your patience. We will regroup and announce the way forward as soon a possible.”

No further details have been disclosed as of this writing. As stated, the next updates regarding the competition will be posted at the soonest time possible.

Nineteen finalists are currently vying for the coveted crown won last year by Emma Jenkins of Llanelli, South Wales. The winner is expected to represent Great Britain at the 69th Miss Universe pageant next year possibly in the USA.
