Diana Cariaga Mackey, a fifteen year old model and AB Communication Student of the Far Eastern University is the Official Philippine Representative to third edition of Supermodel International Pageant to be held in Bangkok, Thailand to be participated by almost thirty gorgeous women from around the world.
A native of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Diana is the only daughter of Miss Rowena Cariaga and Mr. Harry Mackey of New Zealand. She started her Ballet Lessons at an early age and has performed several ballet recitals until twelve years old.
A well-travelled lady, Diana and her family that includes her older brother Bryan had already visited Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Brunei and New Zealand. Though she was fascinated by the diversity and uniqueness of the culture and tradition of these countries, she remains to be a true Filipina at heart. That is why when the opportunity comes to represent the Philippines in an international competition, Diana readily agreed.
“When the offer came to me to send a Filipina delegate to the Supermodel International 2013 Pageant, the first and only girl in my mind was Diana Mackey, first because she is my kababayan and I believe that with her fair and flawless complexion and multi-racial features and vibrant personality, she will definitely a hit in Thailand.” said Mr. Mervin Alvaran, the Philippine Franchise Holder of the Pageant during the Send Off Press Conference held last Friday, October 18 at the Yam Cham Restaurant in Quezon City. Incidentally, Mr. Alvaran is also last year’s Manhunt Philippines Franchise Holder wherein our country’s bet June Macasaet won the first and only Manhunt International title also in Bangkok, Thailand.
Diana will leave on October 25 for the various Pre-Pageant Activity of Supermodel International culminating on the Grand Finals on November 2, 2013. “I will do my very best to do well in the pageant, ”I’ll need all your support through prayers and popular votes through the social media, this is my own little way of bringing back hope and inspiration to our kababayans after a series of natural calamities that hit us. I believe that great things will come and our winning streaks in the International Pageant Arena will continue.” concludes Diana.
