We have state pageants held to choose most of the contestants. Some of the favorites are left behind, however, in those state pageants; they sometimes end up as 1st runner-ups or don't even make the final cut. So they won't go to waste, Lupita invites them to participate in the national competition.
Perla, for example, was actually 1st runner-up back in NB Sinaloa 2008; but thankfully, Lupita didn't let her go to waste! She does make some weird decisions sometimes, like this year's Jacqueline Sauza, when Jalico's batch had so much better; but only she knows why...

I am surprised that most of you like Karen Siordia, Jalisco 1, because she isn't really appreciated in other forums. 
She is undoubtedly beautiful; but maybe they expected more from Jalisco, since the favorite ended up as 1st runner-up. I was one of the ones who was not comfortable with the results; but as time passed by, Karen's good aura, beautiful smile and humbleness conquered me.

My favorites are San Luis Potosi, Nuevo Leon II. Esas son mis gallas (those are my bets).
Colima also impressed me; particularly her oratory. She is a natural born communicator; she is uninhibited and very eloquent.
I still need to see videos of the other girls though. However, unfortunately it is also true that Baja California Sur has much to improve on her speaking abilities. A beauty without a doubt but may lack self-confidence when speaking. All beauty and now wits, that's a BIG problem.

Although Veracruz seemed to have a good catwalk, and I wouldn't be surprised if Colima did as well. 
I expect to see at least one in the Top 5, and maybe even with a crown. Let's see how things go. Both of these have a great oratory, and Lucero from Nuevo Leon has proved to be so fierce with her catwalk; and she definitely has one of the best bodies as well. We are so happy with her designation!
I am so glad you like Nuevo Leon 2; she is one I'd love to see with a crown, honestly.
