In certain parts of the world beauty is determined by clothing, my how big you are, your age or by what your rank is in society.
As far as art goes, sometimes when a paining or a sculpture is first made and everyone else looks at it as ugly and confusing, but as time goes on that painting is reflective of a culture and can be viewed as beautiful and insightful. It's up to every single one of us to determine what's beautiful for ourselves.
Unfortunately we are dominated by an objective mindset that tries to tell us what's beautiful. As a pageant competitor and titleholder, I can see both sides. I see what beauty is in the women that walk the stage because of their presence and personalities. I see beauty in the growth they gain from traveling, learning, and coming into their own. Isn't it sad that we have to try and conform to the idea that a lean body, tan skin, and long hair is beautiful? There's so much diverse beauty in the world that caters to various aesthetics, and you can really see that coming together in pageants. That's one of the reasons why the world loves them.
By the way, I really like that jeweled butterfly.

If you feel it then its real, and if you dont then you are not, simple as that,
but beauty can also be a part of an art because each human is a piece of art that made this world beautiful,
