I strongly agree! The average Pinoy's standard of beauty is still within the molds of a mestiza, aquiline nose, big eyes. Dark and dusky are still not appreciated all over the country. What is uniquely Filipino most especially our very own products that are rated world class dapat talaga iwawagawway sa buong mundo. We have many of these products that deserve international recognition and ought to be announced to the whole world for people to know and appreciate. On the other hand, we should not be held hostage by this limited world view in matters where a particular Pinoy creation doesn't deserve world class "tag" at all. Filipinos who have the buying power know their wants and specific choices. We must patronize our very own if they meet the desired quality and international standards. If otherwise, our local manufacturers and producers will remain stagnant unmindful of foreign competition because of a nationalized "captive" market that patronizes everything local but vehemently refuses to discriminate between choices.
