I'm sure i-co-control nila ang application--limited to passport holders only--unless OK lang sa MUO na non-citizens can apply sa pageant na ito, which I doubt.

For sure, naligwak sa MUP, Bb. Pilipinas, MEP, at Miss World Philippines... Tatakbo dyan...
Basta may kaanak.

Eeeww...

Happy ako kung emirati talaga ang sasali... Push ever...

Pero kung tagasalo ng mga talunan o feeling emirati... Is a big no-no.

Parang insulto yan sa mga Emirati... Lalo na... Kung may maging contestants na Pocahontas!!! Ang dami kaya dun... Yung mga one-fifty dirhams...

Btw, this applies to all... Not only Felepens, aw-aw-awooos, ulings, and itiks

As much as I want to see a country from the Middle East debut in Miss Universe, I do hope that whoever wins this title is an Emirati. Hopefully the locals are open to this.

Burqa
Niqab
Jilbab
Chador
Abaya
Khimar
The infamous burkini and a platform to promote Islam a religion that oppresses women. Oh, Miss Universe UEA doesn't have to wear a traditional swimsuit in which the Miss Universe contest was founded, she can wear activewear or her ''burkini'', in the swimsuit segment because she is 'Muslim'. It's the first time for them, poor thing, put her in the finals we don't want to hurt their feelings. No hats are allowed but she can cover her hair, she is majestically Muslim.

GAME OVER GUYS !!!
Don't put your hopes up for Miss Universe desperate times call for desperate measures and the UAE has a lot of money to throw around.
Money answers all things.

According to them and the article, they are aiming to send a representative this year - in short, they want to debut now. Here's another Instagram post showcasing that they are aiming to debut this year. Apparently, it's open to UAE residents. And instead of swimwear, they will be doing it Miss Teen USA-style in which they will wear fitness wear (a. k. a. active wear) instead.

And then what's next? Granting an Emirati wins this... Do you think she will show her pussy in Israel? Hahahahahaha!

Emirati's especially women will not waste their time and money for this crap. Let see if the father, grand father, uncle, brother, or imam's of that girl will allow her to join.

What a crap... May nalalaman pang publicity na nag crashed ang site...lumang drama na yan like dirty politics in the Felepens.

Alternative way to represent Felepens in Miss Universe... Mga desperado.

Well, the org is composed of Furne Amato and Maggie Wilson herself (despite her being a former Binibining Pilipinas-World), along with their ND.

What happened to Venezuela with Souza over the years, was the result of a foreigner's involvement. How come you're crying out loud already. You don't want UAE to win that's why you're sabotaging their first ever participation.

Dear, Osmel Sousa might be from another country but the girls he is enthroning are citizens of the countries that he has directed. Other countries, such as Iceland, have foreign NDs (although a former Miss Iceland is also an ND of that pageant too). As much as we want to see the UAE win, it should definitely be someone of Emirati descent (and must be a citizen too), and not someone who will just assume the spot as a “filler” contestant.

Also to add, three Emiratis are a part of the organization, although they deal with the pageant’s philanthropy, communications, and empowerment divisions.

I hope Esperasave understands that this competition should represent the United Arab Emirates, and that is by sending an Emirati, not someone who happens to just live there. He thinks that I’m criticizing the foreign NDs, when I’m more of worried on how they will even manage this. I sure do hope a citizen of the UAE will represent them - someone who knows it by heart, and not someone who’s just there to fill in the “spot”.

To be honest, given with Miss Universe splitting into two (Miss USA and Teen USA to Crystle and the remaining org to Paula) this year, I’m not surprised with the UAE debuting, but I wish they are true to themselves and that who wins this won’t be a “filler”, like the Argentinian woman who represented Kosovo during Iris’ edition. Plus, with the Filipino organizers of this pageant still having connections with Miss Universe Philippines (e.g. Furne Amato), I hope that they would give their energy into making sure the native Emiratis are represented, not just the Filipino diaspora in the UAE.

Agree and that's the one I am pointing out.
Some of my OFW friends (living in UAE for more than 15 years)
Just laughed when heard about this.

They just remembered a male contestant who represent UAE also... These kind of contest just put OFW in vain. Most Arab and South Asians they know... With high position in the government... We're laughing and throwing shades with our fellows. They heard that " these Felepens are hallucinating, they want to represent UAE or any Arab nation... Check their nationality first... Look at them, poor and ugly... These people must be sent back to their land. Those kind of practices must be done in the Felepens, not here in their land. "

I told my friends... At least that representative's sash says "Filipino Community-UAE" and not UAE. Just ignore them.

Same scenario with male contestant from Saudi Arabia.

My goodness... They should know the LAW that Arab nation is following...

I think MUO is now desperate and low in "fundings". Poor and very sad.

8-} 8-} 8-}

Alternative way to represent Felepens in Miss Universe... Mga desperado.

I am not against it but I am just real...

Mariana Erwin,

What do you expect from that alternick???

Anyway, why should we waste time with such "Muk mafih/ karban"? It can never understand anything.

They just don't understand how UAE came about to its existence now. Just like Foreignays represented the Philippines.

I cringed at those international male pageants where there's a "Mr. Philippines" along with a "Mr. Filipino Community of Dubai" or something like that.
