Now, it looks like Jonathan Nguyen is silenced by his unrelenting campaign to discredit the hard work that Ms Philippines had done prior to the competition. I saw him applaud with a reputation point the post by "I Know Beauty" above. But Jonathan is not talking -- ashamed of how he maligned Athisa so he could trigger and stir respondents' emotion on the matter. What placement had your favorite girls attained Jonathan? Redeem your falsities. Speak up!

Ms. Manalo's placement shut up Nina... er, "Jonathan Nguyen." :%))

The crowning moment and the "victory walk" was my favorite moment last night.
The 4 runners-up were also given their "victory walk" after Mariem when crowned, then they were joined by Mariem in the end. I don't know but I felt touched with that gesture of Miss International. It reminded me of Miss Earth's elemental queens. Miss International created something unique with that moment :hx

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME WHAT NOT TO DO!

INDONESIA @ MGI was the twinnie of Miss Earth 2017 =;)) and regarding Eva her styling was her downfall. Plus, her EG stumble might have been the nail that sealed the coffin.... lastly, she also sounds very rehearsed.

But EVA is more beautiful than Indonesia for sure!!!!
i thought eva had one of the most beautiful faces at MGI. early on in this competition, i posted in this forum that athisa had one of the most beautiful faces and i was right. . what happened to eva was what happened to poland. it is a puzzle why they were ignored

I just wish they lose the winner's cape. It's super awkward and makes the winners look like floating heads. If they can't can they just change the design? Make it a bit modern and chic?

The cape used in Miss Venezuela pageant during the 80's and 90's (and recently worn by Keysi and Sthefany) is so regal. I hope MIO can find inspiration with that.

Congratulations Venezuela. She was the winner when is saw her swimsuit perfomance. That walk and body frame is so amazing. But i still stand by with my word. I'm not a fan of her beauty. She looks like a tranny in some angles. But i knew she gonna win this because she fit the Miss International formula.

My Top 3 was Romania, Philippines & Colombia. Too bad Colombia not doing good in speech. I like Colombia gown. Its so different from what we used to see in Miss Colombia like see through n gold gown. Her styling is so fit with MI. I wish she could consider joining other major pageants. So much potential.

This year MI has improve their production. Good Job MIO! But how i wish they doing the preliminary in separate days. It's kinda tired watching 5-6 hours long show.

MI is ready to crown an African and black contestant until the final speech she performed during the prelims. It looks like MI is becoming Miss Universe and MW based on their criteria I've seen (actually since 2014 there will be unexpected semifinalists that's why I put Spain on my list) but still the cute faces are the ones that could still make it to the top. sad for Haiti and Egypt but picked South Africa so it's ok
Thailand could be the winner until I have heard she only speaks very little English.
Where's Nguyen and Nini haha
Indonesia robbed Poland =O/
Don't get the hype on Mexico Sweden Laos Denmark there's something sharp on on their faces same with Venezuela but being a powerhouse, they know everything what to do to win.
Australia's MI mold but maybe she lacks personality

NO shade to some on the previous pages... you know your point is out of the line when are blaming the sash of the girls. while at the same time admitting you did not watch the PAHHHGE or most of it.
as one of those who watched real time along with other nationalities here. it was actually pretty different experience than previous MI editions.

i think most us who were watching did NOT actually have in mind the results or have a feeling who will be the TOP 5 because the top 8 girls girl smashed the final round. I wish the result was sort of MORE FAVORABLE to your liking but just like you Most of us here after watching the first 3 rounds unfold kinda all agree that was THE TOP 15 minus some Obvious exclusions and it was really up to judges who will be that top 5.

Yes we can all respect each other opinion but in every statement and claim we say atleast receipts should to back it up. not all agruments/opinions can be equated, equivocated or polarized. it does not work that way .

i notice a lot are dropping their pieces of opinions but clearly showcasing the fact they just schemed trough social media about the results.

I BET MOST OF these people did not know...

- That there was an intro performance before competition 1 : National Costume.
- You also did not know that rounds were call "competition"
- that the Order of the girls were not simply in alphabetical order but sorted by continents ,
- and as to where that order of continents ends Is up to your knowledge as there was no acknowledgement from the host about it
- that the show started without the female host. and the escorts were also introduced
- that there was an intermission number of a boy group and performed a song called USA . sorta awkward but i appreciated it
- that there were intermission numbers and i love those kids in the choir. and it took me to church
- that there was a string duo intermission number
- that girls cat walks were accompanied by a musical score. in moment it felt like i was playing a jrpg
- that hawaii did her natcos schtick in the top platform of the stage and not on the runway
- htat there was a stream interruption after the natcos round
- you also not know hawaii was on the pageant
- that south Africa walked for 2 mins and a half on average. great booty though
- that Madagascar wore a tie in her evening gown
- that the music changed when Venezuela walked and she adapted to the beat
- that the audience was literally having dinner after the third round
- that a teared feather was on the stage for 2 freaking rounds .
- the bond lights were sort of distracting but kinda effective to get your attention.
- the host announced the runner up ala Bob barker style.

I guess my point is . it was good night and good event even though it took 5 hours long. some did not sleep just to watch this gig gurl and you who chose to might have a thought or two before entailing your opinions. :)>-

Today has been the most magical day
To me, my hopes for my Miss International journey were not solely to place, but to have
an amazing experience in a new country with 76 other incredible delegates from around the world.
Miss International was my first international pageant, and I can, hand on heart,
say that I've given it my all.
I've done my very best every single day to ensure that I don't leave with any regrets.
Although I didn't reach a top 15,I'm proud of myself and my performance.
8 weeks ago, I would have never thought I'd have the courage (or honor!) of participating
in a beauty pageant in Tokyo for almost a month, or of walking in a bikini
in front of almost a million online viewers (!!!). I've stepped out of my comfort zone,
out of my normal everyday life, and I've tried something completely new.
Something that some may not understand, but something that I've come to love so much.
I've learned so much about myself and my ability through this experience, and it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
Thank you for all your support throughout the past few weeks (and months)
while I've lived my pageantry fairytale.I've been proud to represent my country.

Congratulations to the beautiful newly crowned @mariemvelazco and the rest of the wonderful top 5. You deserve it ladies!
Thank you to my national director @lisalents , to @diazstephen and to @missinternationalofficial .
And last but not least - thank you Japan Arigato gozaimashita.....

Thanks, I pride myself on my decorum on this forum. I mean, all I am in life is my Image tag on Missosology. What would I be without it ? Maybe if I acted more like you, I could get an ''upgrade'' to Image.

Anyways, I didn't quote the post because it is long. I have nothing to hide. It's back a couple of pages, unedited if anyone wants to see what I said. And appeal to the masses ? We're on a Filipino dominated website. Thankfully, the majority of Filipino's are not like yourself and Nycla, who can't engage in serious debate because you're entitled, mean-spirited and petulant.

But, I have wasted enough of my time on you. Can't wait to see what inane rambling is on your signature next week, budz !

Miss Philippines looks like Indian thats why they made her 1st runner up instead of winner loll honestly i don't like winner at all. She doesn't look natural to me. Romania or South Africa would have been more refreshing winner. They were equally eloquent and graceful but asusual this pageant is always biased.

Coming to my girl India i just love her. She just made us so proud representing us so well in the competition. For me she looked prettiest during the finals. Only if she had given more training. Anyway she'll always remain one of the cutest and prettiest Miss India ever.

I hope I don't end up as one of his weekly racist signatures, along with the broad and diverse group of people's who have offended him simply by being, such as Puerto Ricans, Indians and Indonesians. Now, now, Irish people may be added to the list too ! What have I done ? All because I said something that he didn't like...

*In case you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic and deliberately dismissive.

You should have quoted your post especially when you said
“I AM FED UP OF THIS SASH FACTOR...”

Of course you didn’t do that because you try to win the argument by appealing to the masses to be a victim.
Now, you are raising a new argument completely out of your first premise.

Very professional and ambassador-like behavior =D> =D> =D> =D>

BEST MISSOSSOLOGY MEMBER OF ALL TIME!

If only I know beforehand you wanted to be the main subject of this thread, there would have been no argument.
Aren’t we having a banter about your original premise that “you are tired of seeing these countries making it or winning it most of the time?

Look where you took that argument! If this is a real debate, your rebuttal summations are so out of the original topic. You would have been disqualified by the jury.

Yuck please. GWEN >>>>>>> STEFANOWITZ. At least Gwen was able to soften her look in London, despite that Shih Tzuh hair on the final night.

She looked very beautiful and not at all masculine in these pictures so her ugly styling in 2011 was to blame which enhanced her strong features coming from being 5'11".

compared to this. She looks like a different person ala Amy Winehouse/Marilyn Manson.

[quote="soledad"][font=Tw Cen MT][color=#FF6600][size=150][b]MI is ready to crown an African and black contestant until the final speech she performed during the prelims.
Australia's MI mold but maybe she lacks personality[/b][/size][/color][/font][/quote]

I think your spot on there. good analysis
