Hello again, today the person with whom I am gonna share this space is someone I like for his maturity, his level of understanding things that's going around here and his soft and kind words. He is Bibek from Kolkatta presently working in Singapore. So here's the excerpt from the interview

Simeon : Tell Us about yourself
Bibek :Yo I am Bibek and I hail from the city of joy Kolkata. I am a crazy and fun loving guy, love hanging out with my friends, and a great movie buff. I literally eat, drink and sleep Bollywood LOL. Roadside junk food is something I can die for, Chinese and Thai top my list of favourite cuisines but of course, nothing can beat mom cooked food Basically, life is one big party for me which keeps going on.
But now, I’m away from most of those fun & frolic, in Singapore. Though it’s a great place to be, But I really miss my home a lot. Actually I’m a fulltoo mama’s boy. So now you know how it feels to be this far. Actually am a school teacher here and my subject is English. I completed my Masters in English Literature in 2010 and joined this job in early 2011. Reading is one of my passions and if I am locked inside a room with books and some drinking water, I can happily spend my life there. But even here I have made some awesome friends and I do party here too. Life isn’t that bad out here, but home will always be home.
Simeon : One word to describe yourself..
Bibek :Gifted ….. I consider myself gifted as I have the best parents, best of friends, perhaps one of the best jobs in the world and may be will have the best wife someday
Simeon :If you could go back and change something about your high school days what would it be?
Bibek :May be I would change my company back then if I can go back. I got friendly with some notorious kids back then and consequently lost out on some very good friends of mine. Though I have got back those good friends and they are an integral part of my life now, I still regret being friends with those unwanted people back then.
Simeon :Which is the trait you love the most and least about yourself?
Bibek :I love my optimism and the ability to look at the brighter side of things always. I hope I can continue this throughout my life.
Simeon :Which is your favourite song that you would sing at a karaoke bar?
Bibek :Ohh my favourite songs keep changing with time and right now it is ‘Tumhi ho Bandhu Sakha tumhi…” from Cocktail.
Simeon :If you were granted three wishes from an angel or genie what would you want?
Bibek :1. All the happiness in the world for my parents.
2. A fulfilling career ahead in the true sense of the term.
3. A repeat of the year 2000 for Indian pageant world.
Simeon :Do you believe in fate or do you believe that the future is predicted by actions?
Bibek :I am a very strong believer in Karma and I do believe that your actions decide the future course of life. Having said that, I would also like to add that I believe in God Almighty as well. He is watching it all and it is His omnipresence that I derive my strength from.
Simeon :How and when did your interest in pageants started?
Bibek :I think I was about 12 or 13 years old when I saw Yukta Mookhey win MW 1999. I was absolutely smitten by her beauty then. I also watched the Femina Miss India 2000 live and I was simply floored by the answers by each of the top 10 contestants, needless to say, especially Lara. The questions were so tough and offbeat and yet the girls answered them all with such wit and poise. That really increased my respect for Femina and beauty pageants manifold. Of course after all this, I couldn’t afford to miss that year's international pageants and I watched them all live, except Miss Asia Pacific. And as they say, the rest is history. I simply cannot put into words how I felt watching them all actually win the crown in real time, live. I was ecstatic, going eccentric with happiness. That was the starting point for me I guess.
Simeon :If you were given a choice to represent India at any pageant which pageant it would be & why?
Bibek :Miss Universe of course, mainly because I love the format of the show – the intro dance, national costume parade, SS round, EG round and the final question. It is so damn exciting and thrilling. MW over the years has become pretty boring, like last year the way the contestants came up one by one and saw their score on the leader board….. zzzzzzzz… did not feel like a grandslam pageant at all.
Simeon :If you were the outgoing Miss Universe how would your final walk & speech be?
Bibek :I would walk in a gown whose torso will be shimmering gold and from the waist downwards will be free flowing gown, a bit like Oleysa Stefanko in MU 2011.
I would like to view the past year as a year of my rebirth… rebirth as a woman, rebirth as a human being as it added another dimension to my existence – the queen of this universe. I consider myself blessed to be able to lend my support to the cause of HIV Aids. I felt I justified the purpose of my birth when I was able to light up the faces of those underprivileged children with a smile of reassurance, security and fulfilment. I thank my motherland India and its people for bestowing me the honour of representing them. I thank the Trump org for being the best employer in the world and above all, I thank my parents who were nothing less than my guardian angels. To the new girl who is bout wear this crown, go reach for the skies but always stay grounded and humble and the world will be at your feet.
Simeon :What advice would you give to our current Miss India?
Bibek :Vanya, Prachi and Rochelle
Vanya : Just take note of your styling and wardrobe. You have it what it takes to be a winner, just be yourself and do not lose focus.
Prachi: You are a wonderful wonderful person. Just let your aura take you places and work hard towards your dreams.
Rochelle: Yes you ARE good but it’s a bit worrying because you know that you are good. Do not get overconfident, have faith in God and bring back our very first MI crown.
Simeon :What do you think of Torika Watters, Controversial Bibek :Miss Fiji who has been bashed for not looking not native? Do you think it is justified?
Bibek : We should give every winner their due respect and acknowledge their contribution and efforts. It is very easy to find faults in someone who is going up the ladder and it’s tough to accept one for what he/she is. In this case, Torika deserved to win and she did. Now no point in delving into unnecessary issues. Just support the girl.
Simeon :If you were to cast Misso India members in Superhero movie "Fantastic Five" who would they be?
Bibek :Satan, Broto, Roopesh, Thanglenhow and Sleepingdiva.

Favourite Miss India : Manpreet Brar (She deserved the MU crown waayyy more than Chelsea), Parvathy Omanakuttan ( for me, she is the actual MW 2008)
Favourite Miss Universe : Amelia Vega, Natalie Glebova (simply cant get over their beauty), and of course our very own Lara Dutta
Favourite Miss World : Aishwarya Rai and Ivian Sarcos

Amrita Thappar- Thunder Thighs

Simeon :Your message to the forumer?
Bibek :Let’s show the world how to support a national winner until she goes onto the international platform. Let’s not bash these poor girls, create divide amongst ourselves and make a mockery of ourselves to the rest of the world. Let’s have some constructive criticism instead viciousness and respect one and all. Cheers
