India is the land of dance, culture and of course, Bollywood. Vanya Mishra, Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2012 is a self-confessed Bollywood fan who loves dancing (and sometimes singing!) along to her favourite Hindi music tunes. So what could be better than a collaboration between Vanya and one of India's most eminent choreography duos - Bosco and Caesar?
When Vanya participates for the Miss World International pageant just over a month from now, she will be showcasing some of her finest dance moves, taught to her by none other than Bosco and Caesar - who run the prestigious Bosco Caesar Dance Company and have choreographed some of Bollywood's best movies - including recent superhits like '3 Idiots' and 'Jab We Met'.
So, what is their latest project? Turning Vanya into a Bollywood dancer extraordinaire, and bringing her a few steps closer to that coveted Miss World crown!
First, the audience will witness a vibrant, diverse visual treat - the 'Dances of the World' round where each contestant will showcase her country's traditional dance. In this round, Vanya will be portraying traditional Indian moves and will be dancing on songs from 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Muqqadar ka Sikandar'. Dressed in Umrao Jaan-esqe garb, Vanya will be displaying the true essence of India through dance.
Next comes the famous 'Talent round' where Vanya will show off an eclectic blend of Indian and Western influences. She will dance to more recent, foot-tapping Bollywood tunes like 'Desi girl' and 'Sheila ki Jawani'. From the traditional Indian 'mujra' to contemporary Bollywood beats, she surely is 'versatile Vanya'. Now let us hope she dances her way to victory!
