Kedist Deltour, Miss East Flanders 2021, was crowned Miss Belgium 2021 at the Proximus Theatre in Adinkerke (De Panne, West Flanders) on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, defeating 32 other women from all regions of the country. She succeeds Céline Van Ouytsel, Miss Belgium 2020, and will represent Belgium in Miss Universe and/or Miss World.
The 23-year-old hairdresser comes from the city of Nazareth, East Flanders.
Born in Addis Ababa, Ethipia, Kedist lost her mother from a long cancer when she only 8 years old. Then her father decided to put her in an orphelinat with her brother and sister. At 10, thank to her sister, she was adopted by a Belgian couple who first decide to adopted her young sister. But they discovered the youngest also have a brother and a sister, they decided to adopt the all family together. And they moved from Ethiopia to Belgium.
