These pageant veterans and fan favorites suffered the same fate on their respective National pageants. Both placed in the Top 10 but didn't make it up to the Top 5 despite of their performances. Many are asking why? WHAT WENT WRONG?

I remember Lu Siera in one of her interview she give emphasize that Miss Universe Org. is not looking for a model hence the best walker will not win the crown, instead MUO is looking for a speaker and someone who can be the face of the organization.

You need to bring back Trump to MUO so the glitz and glamour of the contestant will come first before the candidate's lousy dramas and so called sobbing back story.

It all depends on the personal interpretation of each judge on the new criteria in choosing the winner. That is why Alaiza Malinao is in Janine Tugonon's top 3. Most pageant fans including foreign vloggers are happy with Rabiya's win though. I still prefer IMG's Women of substance winners compared with some of Trump's Latina Bimbos with Diva attitudes but not much to offer other than looking pretty in photo shoots.

Given Alaiza's performance in the prelim interview I didn't really expect her to win BUT AT LEAST SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the top 5. How I wish the second cut was top 10 because sooo many things can still happen from that point. MUP should start with top 20 then top 10 then top 5 so that there is still more room for girls who were ALANGANIN in their performance to still make a comeback. That was the part that I was so disappointed with the format.

These beauty contestants came in with different backgrounds and they are already accomplished women when they entered beauty pageant. Haven't you read their bio and profile in the contest they entered? Then why are you still complaining? They are already winner in their own right and in their destiny. Just like Janine Tugonon, she already bought a house when she was just a Binibining Pilipinas contestant.

I think Miss Universe should realize that back story is not important but what can the girls do moving forward. The back story is soooo yesterday, what they need is a visionary who can send the MUO message across, their humanitarian aspirations and help they can extend.
That's why we should not focus on the back story but the platform the girls have.

As much as I love Andreia, her evening gown performance was probably undervalued. On Alaiza, I’m not a fan of her but I think nothing wrong happened, given that the top five in the recent Miss Universe Philippines pageant showed their best.

as for Andreia Gibau, she did well as a stage performer ,had a good body but facially she was weak.her features were not much harmonious to look at plus some bad camera angles..something was just off with her hair..it didnt look real,looked like a wig.this actually made me doubt if she could win miss usa,, honestly i feel she would have entered top 5, she could been just a runner up...overall she did well with what she had
