I would have included her, but it's the 1986 edition that I saw on TV for the first time. Editions prior to that were just based on YouTube. But yes, Yvonne was indeed an easy victory! It's like the whole competition was anchored to her no matter what she did or did not do.
Kind of like Mona Grudt in 1990. She didn’t even have to try... the judges just love her no matter what she did or said. I didn’t think she was the strongest performer in each level of competition but she must have made a huge impression on them in the preliminaries, especially the interview where she scored a whopping 9.23, and it carried over into finals night.
this is where LUCK plays a big part,im still puzzled why she was heavily favored that night -so iwill call it pure luck
