No, I didn't forget it.
These were the candidates whose evening gowns I didn't like:
1. Zukeyka Rivera. I just simply didn't like it because it came from Denise's mold. The only difference was that Zuleyka's gown was made of wires. I was never a fan of Zuleyka to begin with which was I why I tend to equate her wire gown to that of a high-class-wannabe social relations officer liaising for clients with demands from the nether region. Her aura bespoke of it as well.
2. Oxana Fedorova. Her gown looked like it came from Bed Bath & Beyond. Did she carry it well? Yes, she absolutely did.
3. Riyo Mori. Her gown looked so matronly to me. It also reminded me of Aldevinco Shopping Centre of Davao City in the early '80s during my yearly visits there from Canada as a kid. Looking at the pattern and design of Riyo's gown made me think that she could be calling for kulintang players and batik makers from Aldevinco soon.
4. Taliana Vargas's gown looked like it was inspired from distorted kites. Yes, the twirl was nice but the kite's loose tails were still there. Alas, she couldn't get rid of them no matter how much she tried to shake them off! Perhaps, cans would help her lose those loose tails by dragging them and by creating sounds for the newlyweds.
5. Dayana Mendoza. I was never her fan which was why I didn't like the construction of her yellow gown. To me, she looked like a "walking warning" that came out from a traffic light. Her scary-looking make-up on finals night even added to the warning. If I were to choose between her gown and Ariella's, I'd still go for Ariella's not because the latter was a Filipino candidate but because she sashayed it better on stage than the former.
