go to wikipedia and type AIDS and the most country with AIDS list - that should be one of the great factors or basis on determining who is the gayest.the philippines is not even in the top 100.

others have mentioned that it should be those countries who legalized or already have same-sex marriage? is that only the main factor that will let you conclude that those countries are the gayest? no. because other countries have different cultures. there maybe a greater population of gay people in one country than others but if the government of that country don't support same sex marriage because they are not ready for it yet or for other reasons, then does not mean they are not the gayest just because there is no same sex marriage in that country?

other forumers concluded that thailand, vietnam and the philippines are the gayest because they've been there or visited those countries already and experience, see and encounter loud effeminate male citizens in those countries? is that the only reason? no. That could be the reason of those forumers because those are their preset personal criteria for judging on determining or on how to spot gay people at a certain territory or jurisdiction.

i know what is AIDS and how it can be acquired.you are gays and i maybe a gay person but do not deny the fact that among the causes of acquiring that disease is thru sexual encounters of male-to-male or female-to-female partners whether it is safe or not.i know about promiscuity whether this is done by heterosexual partners or homosexual partners or parties, blood transfusion through needles, a mother who has AIDS and carries a baby at her womb - that these can cause also on acquiring STDs that can lead to AIDS. but these represents only around 5-10% of the population of people who are living with AIDS. we have to accept the fact that sexual encounters between two partners of the same sex especially male species are more prone and gets the largest percentage or portion of a whole pie of those AIDS infected individuals.

well, you might not know or you might be shocked that there maybe a large percentage of gay people who have AIDS in Arab/Muslim countries not only in the Middle East but also in Northern Africa and Asia. we know that these people though they are gay and practice gay activities sexually but they know on how to cover it up or their government know on how to hide it or cover it up because it will be an humiliation for them that the whole world will know it if those things will be exposed fully. it is against Muslim, their faith and strict culture.

Maybe you guys focus your attention to gay population that can be found in Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand but you have to consider the environment there is more free and liberal. Straight population located in these countries accept gay individuals as part of their societies already. this is also the reason why gay people there can talk in a vulgar manner, show warmth and affection with each other or even with a partner, act in a glamorous, fabulous, flamboyant and expressive manners or ways compare to gays who are located in countries with stricter policies. You have to consider also that people there have more happy dispositions in life.

It also depends on a culture of a country. There are countries that it is so normal for men to kiss each others cheeks, hug each other, hold each other's hand in public but they are not being scrutinized and stereotyped as gays just because of acting in those manners because it is part of their cultures and way of living unless you are an immigrant or tourist there seeing those kind of sincere and deepest affections still shock you because they are too way beyond your imagination and expectation on how two men should act with each other from what you usually see in your country of origin.

On the other hand, some Americans and people from other Western countries who have natural macho physiques, culture, fashion, lifestyle and upbringing most of the times consider majority of the male population in South East Asias and East Asian countries , particularly Chinese, South Koreans, Japanese, Filipinos, Viets, Singaporeans as gays because of their soft and slender bodies, GROOMING, HAIRSTYLES and affections they share with each others. It really boils down on your own criteria on determining who is straight or who is not.
