Last night (July 4th), Miss International Dominican Republic 2012, Melody Mir, was crowned in a special ceremony in Santiago.
Melody is of Spanish and Dominican descent and has had past experience competing for the title of Miss Spain 2009 and representing Spain in Miss Reina Hispanoamerica where she became 2nd runnerup. Melody was actually picked months ago by the owner of the franchise, Diany Mota, but she was too busy prepping her. She was crowned by Miss International Dominican Republic 2011, Catherine Ramirez.

I can't believe that the Miss DR International 2011 looked her best now when she was gonna crown her succesor, I never saw her look this good before, she should've looked like this at the competition! lol! Anyways, the new MDRI is an upgrade, she's beautiful and has room for improvement!

Agreed! It shows just how much of a difference makeup and styling makes! But her time already passed and I'm sure Melody will do her.best to break our streak! :-D
